Finnish folk metallers FINNTROLL will embark on a spring North American headlining tour, dubbed "Finnish Metal", with support from MOONSORROW, SWALLOW THE SUN and SURVIVORS ZERO. Brought to you by King Foo Entertainment, the tour will cover over 20 cities in what is hoped to be a yearly event.

ORIGINAL LINE-UP CONFIRM NEW WORLDWIDE DEAL WITH SPINEFARM RECORDS 30th ANNIVERSARY TOUR AND STUDIO ALBUM TO FOLLOW EARLY NEXT YEAR…

With a reputation forged in fire, brimstone and magic, Killing Joke have long been one of rock's most iconic & influential outfits.

Now, 30 years since first bonding in blood, the original line-up of Jaz Coleman (vocals), Geordie (guitar), Youth (bass) and Paul Ferguson(drums) are set to start work on their 13th studio album – the first fruits of a new worldwide deal with the Spinefarm Records label.

Set for release in April 2010, this latest set of recordings (title to be confirmed) will see the aforementioned musicians sharing studio space for the first time in 27 years, having already road-tested their relationship with sold-out shows around the world, kicking off in Tokyo last Autumn.

Over the years, the band members have chosen to develop their talents in a variety of ways: triple Grammy winner Jaz Coleman, for instance, has established an international reputation working with some of the world's greatest symphony orchestras, whilst Martin ‘Youth' Glover has become one of the UK's most celebrated producers, supervising albums from the Verve & Primal Scream amongst others, as well as achieving major success as one half of highly-regarded duo, The Orb.

Covered by Metallica, Foo Fighters and more, Killing Joke's apocalyptic vision continues to draw praise from such high-profile supporters as Jimmy Page and Billy Corgan, and the band's considerable musical legacy can be heard in the works of Nirvana, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails and the like – artists whose rise to fame never saw them cutting ties with the underground/alternative scene.

Once described by Paul Ferguson as ‘the sound of the earth vomiting', Killing Joke are now poised to take their music of resistance to a whole new level, both in the studio and on the road.

As ever, the journey won't be easily forgotten… whether those involved wish to do so or not!

ENSIFERUM Announce North American Headlining Tour
 
Raise your swords! Following a successful trek with the 2009 edition of the Summer Slaughter Tour earlier this year, Finnish Viking metal warriors ENSIFERUM will return to the frontlines for a full North American headlining tour this November. Support will be provided by Hypocrisy, Ex Deo, Blackguard and Swashbuckle (on select dates). Leaving no villager unharmed, the 26-date excursion -- which will begin on November 6th at Jaxx in Springfield, VA and conclude on December 5th at Irving Plaza in New York City -- will include a stop at the eclectic Anti*Pop Music Festival in Central Florida which plays host to indie acts from all over the world.
 
The tour will coincide with the release of the band's long anticipated new full-length, From Afar (check out audio samples here: http://www.ensiferum.com/e_html/e_downloads.htm). ENSIFERUM's fourth studio recording will be released in the US on September 8, 2009. Said Skulls N Bones of the band's latest offering, "ENSIFRUM leave you very satisfied with another solid installation, this time fitted with a vastly more epic feel and a full orchestral sound that rivals Iron for individuality and Victory Songs for aggression." Added Live4Metal bluntly, "Ladies and gentlemen, prepare for war."
