I can't believe I almost said 'No, I'm not watching it.' But, I've discovered one of the most brilliant actors on the planet. His name is David Tennant. He plays The Doctor. Just try memorizing everything he says in this one little scene and see if you don't agree with me. ;-) I'd put him up there with Robert Downey, Jr and Edward Norton!

Two nights ago, I had a horrendous dream. Jamie Fox and I (sounds good so far, right?) were being tortured and about to get killed. So, last night, I guess my subconscious made up for it, big time. I dreamt I was transported back in time to some kind of music festival in the 60’s. Some friends (one of them was Shanda) and I maneuvered our way to one of the stages backstage and got to see none other than THE DOORS performing live!! I’m talkin’ Jim Morrison alive and kickin’ with the band singing his heart out. We were singing along while watching the show from backstage, and having the best time. The f**king Doors!! How amazing is that?!?!  I know I’ve never heard any of the songs we were singing along with, but, in the dream we were singing ’em like they were Love Her Madly, Love Me Two Times, Crystal Ship, Soul Kitchen, Roadhouse Blues… to name a few.

{Should I have prefaced this whole discussion with, "My two all time favorite bands are The Doors and The Cult"? Would that give you an idea of how fantastic this was?}

Anyway, I woke up this morning with a slight nose bleed.  Being the writer and sci-fi/supernatural fan that I am, I’ll attribute that to the side effects of the time travel.

So, I told some of the girls at work that I’m hoping to be transported once again to the past to that music festival to catch Jimi Hendrix performing live. Shanda says not to forget her when I go.

Anyway, just had to share. That was fun.

It’s actually hilarious: I’m so unimpressed with the things most superficial people are living for, like celebrities, looks, money, etc. But, stick me in a fun dream with kick-ass music hanging with my friends, and I’m a happy camper.

My mom, niece, and middle nephew (I have 3, he's my godson!) came to Austin to visit me. We had the best time. My family rocks! Nothing majorly over the top happened. We just had a great time...shopping, walking around town, swimming, and stuff like that. I did take them to Truluck's Saturday night. (if you're ever in Austin, TX, you NEED to visit Truluck's restaurant on 4th and Colorado. Fantastic food, excellent wines, and the people are great! My family had the best time! Of course, I now need a vacation after my vacation. I'm still trying to catch up on my sleep. Every night, we stayed up talking until very late at night. But, totally worth it.

Why the question? My itty bitty godson, (actually, he's taller than I am by now) my middle nephew is now old enough to be on myspace.  How the hell did that happen!?!?!?!? It honestly seems like he's only 3 years old!

Seriously, I took my 21 year old niece to Vegas in March. She'll be 22 this month! I remember when she was born! I remember when they brought her home from the f**king hospital!!!

Don't get me wrong...it was great to watch them grow into the wonderful people they are. I wouldn't trade that for anything. My niece and all 3 nephews are the best things in my life.

But, Father Time needs to seriously think about preparing me for realizations like this...
