Yes, it's true. We're finally getting hip to the new wave of 'mucus/music video' technology! But don't you worry, it wasn't our cleverness that brought us here... We simply took the idea from Chris Dela Cruz! So before you even read this stupid blog, you damn well better check out his mind-blowingly wonderful songs here:
www.myspace.com/christopherdelacruzmusic
As for our contest, the rules are simple: make a music video for any song on the AquaCloset cd! Make it as craaaaazy as you want - some ridiculous costumes possibly? trees with personalities? giant pieces of corn-on-the cob playing poker? a mailman who knows tai chi and uses it on rowdy neighborhood dogs? something involving 'boo bah'? use your imagination. Whoever makes the "best" short film will receive:
Dinner on me (Adam)! I'll take you out to dinner in Red Bank after the Internet Cafe show (on November 24th at 7pm) - wherever you want! (except Echo. jk it's cool if you want, you're the filmmaker) Plus I'll give you a free copy of the cd if you don't have one yet. Maybe you'll get a decorated slide whistle too? we'll see.
I'll be announcing the winner at the show, with somewhat of a dramatic buildup!
The deadline is Thanksgiving Day (November 22), so...
...Godspeed and Good Luck! I'm excited to see what you guys come up with!
See you all soon,
- Adam

Greetings, good people of the world wide web. Have a seat and cozy up to the first aquacloset blog in half a year. Would you like to hear what we've been up to? Read about it maybe? Well here's the scoop:
For about a year we've been working with resident middletown supergenius Pete Andrews at his palace, Submergent Recording. We cut 3 songs with him and we're releasing them with the old version of Sunday Newspaper. At this point we're in the touch-up stage with Pete, while Ryan Salisbury does some hard-work on the art-work. We're sending it away to the AC Moon Base for pressing as soon as it's finished, so the shit should hit the fan on August 3rd at our Holmdel Firehouse show. The CD packs 4 songs and 99.6 attitude, so watch out! Just don't be scared folks, a little music never hurt nobody. Except Def Leppard!
Love,
Adam

It's done! and there's more where that came from! Come to a show and we'll give you a free copy on CDR!!!
Love,
Adam
P.S. EXTRA SPECIAL thanks to Pete for engineering the song and giving us precious advice about things in general. It was a joy to work with him, and hopefully we will finish up some sort of cd release with him behind the soundboard. Also thanks to Tim for all his help in recording the song.
I can't believe that we've been a band for four years and put out absolutely no recorded music. Well my friends, that will all be over in no-time.

Yeah, so i dont have anything better to be doing right now, so i'm going to post a blog. and you're probably sitting there reading this thinking that i was kidding when i said that this wasn't going to entertain you. actually, i think i'll tell a story. now, i'm going to make this up as i go along, so bear with me...or not, what the fuck do i care?
So there was this bear, and he was a really big bear. and he had fangs, and venom. he was cool like that. he also happened to have run out of honey, and since bears love honey, there was only one thing he could do: cry. once he was done crying, he went to the store to get more honey, but since it's hard to find work as a bear, he didn't have any money, and the store owner wouldn't give him any. the bear got very very angry, and he followed the store owner home with the intention of filling the man's gas tank with honey, until he remembered that he didn't have any honey, and that said lack of honey was the reason for his anger. so instead, the bear decided to wait outside the mans house until the man went to sleep. then the bear snuck into his kitchen and promptly proceeded to knock over every single pot in the mans kitchen. apparently bears plus metal pots don't equal quiet. go figure. so the man wakes up and meanders his sorry ass downstairs into his kitchen, where he finds, much to his surprise, a bear stealing his honey...the same bear from earlier at his store. he decides to confront the bear, grabbing the nearest thing he can find to use as a weapon, which, unfortunately for him, turns out to be an assparagus, and not even a particularly sturdy looking one. all the bear has to do is look at it and it wilts up and falls to the floor. the bear just laughed at him and decided that it was time to go. but at that precise moment, the whole house starts to shake and the ceiling of the kitchen starts to rip off and fly away, leaving a flying saucer in its absence. (told you i was making this up as i went along...) then a bright green beam shoots out of the saucer and strikes the honey dead on, and then starts to pull it up towards the craft, jar and all. the man doesn't know what to think, the bear just wants to get his honey back, and the aliens in the spacecraft are laughing at both of them. it was precisely at that moment, however, that the ninja who lived next door decided that he had had enough. he got out of bed and walked over to see all the commotion, then proceeded to cut the heads off of all involved so he could get a good night's sleep. he tried to cut the head off of the honey, but since it's honey, that proved rather difficult. THE END, bitch.
...Dave
p.s. (there's thunder and it scares me.)

mark's arm got run over by a hockey skate. it hurt. 70+ stitches. so, reluctantly, we had to cancel our set at the Nerve's holiday show in brooklyn, but I'm sure we'll play with them eventually. He'll most likely be alright for the show in January with Calamity Menagerie. Let's all wish him a safe and speedy recovery!
