For the Fathers....My Father
 
Daddy...((((Lady's yall know we called our Fathers daddy)))) 
I want to thank you for being there and showing
me that you cared enough to raise me (and all my sisthas and brothas)
but to see me grow with my own family to nurture and see grow
with their father there too to see all this going down as he too wears his crown
Thank you for telling me all the things that you knew and know,
without your love i would have nothing to go on
I would never known how special I am not only to you but to me.
You told me more than once to learn to take care of my self
because life can ware you down
now i understand what you meant some days i feel spent!!! 
life and living can be a task so i do what i can to keep myself at one.
With so many titles that i hold it's easy to become undone. 
I now know you only told me that because
you knew that I would have to be that glue and that backbone
that would keep my family together to weather any storm
and forever and always stay strong
but without you as my Father I would never be able to weather what
life has brought my way and has in store for me as i journey day by day
"One day at a time", is what you and Momma would say.
So on this Fathers Day 2008 I want to take the time to thank you! with a smile
And all Fathers who make their children feel special
because without the love of a Father
we could be children lost and gone wild.

Fathers know how very vital it is to be present and accounted for
in your children's life it can make the difference in your daughter(s)
becoming a mans wife or a baby momma, and your sons becoming husbands or just sperm donors.

I've always had a lot of love inside,
i had so much that i was unwise to how
loving so much could, would and did lead to a demise
to how i felt inside.

So, i learned to love one special one with all the love i had inside.
That love has been tested and tried.
That special one i chose to have at my side,
lost his way,
yes,
he went astray,
yes,
he cheated,
and yes,
he lied,
but what he did will never change how i feel inside.
I too have done this in his eyes.

I have a passion for him that will never die,
and he I,
not even after we've transitioned to the other side.
What we have is a match made in heaven.
Nothing in this world can tare us apart,
no man can put us under,
cuz, we are sort-a-like that "a" 8th wonder.

My son is graduating from High School tomorrow.....yeah!!!

I'm so proud of him!

dipped in Time

the connection

we have is

Solid Gold

never to grow Old

or unFashionable

As we take bold

strides upon the

stars in the Skyz

like i knew it wood

nothing like being

in the hood

where it seems like

everyONE is up to

no good

killing the souls of our

innocent youth

I will never sit in judgement

of them.....only honestly

tell them the truth

they deserve

a fighting chance

to avoid unseen

circumstance

live life in the light

then there is no

room for

happenstance

all because you thought

you could

do wrong

and the cords of life

wouldn't sing it's song

well if that's what you

think you will soon fast
