Mister Ohio Valley USofA MI
Rules and Regulations
1. For Mister Ohio Valley USofA MI, contestants must be female. Contestant must be 21 years old by the night of the Contest to enter Mister Ohio Valley USofA MI.
2. Judging will be on a total point accumulated system. Ties will be broken by the contestant with the higher score in the talent category.
3. Contestants will be judged in the following categories: Personal Interview, Talent and Creative Evening Wear.
4. Talent presentation will be limited to seven (7) minutes. Prop setup and teardown will be limited to five (5) minutes total. Talent presentations will be timed at rehearsals. Presentations over seven (7) minutes will have administrative points deducted.
5. Any type of talent presentation is acceptable except those that may cause injury to the audience or any other person, NO excessive glitter, fire or water may be used in ANY talent presentation.
6. The use or dispensing of illegal drugs, including marijuana, will not be tolerated while a contestant is participating in the Mister Indiana USofA MI Contest. Immediate disqualification will result for those who break this rule.
7. Any contestant that is not at the appointed place at the appointed time will loose administrative points.
8. Any contestant, contestant's dancer(s) helper(s), etc. who is caught in the act of stealing or tampering with another person's personal property will be disqualified and removed from the location of the Contest.
9. The Mister Ohio Valley USofA MI and the Official Mister USofA MI Contest does not discriminate against contestants with mastectomies and/or hormones. The use of mastectomies and/or hormones will not be considered by any judge scoring the contestants.
10. Once a contestant has placed 1st Alternate in a Preliminary Contest they may not continue to compete. They must go to Nationals with that placement.
11. Bruce Cornwell (promoter) reserves the right to make any decision concerning any matter not covered by these Rules and Regulations.
12. Any contestant that qualifies to compete at the Mister USofA MI by winning or being the 1st Alternate of Mister Ohio Valley USofA MI Contest and does NOT attend the respective National Contest will be banned from competing in ANY USofA Pageant franchised local, city, state, regional or national pageant. The contestant will be banned until they have paid back the state or regional promoter all prize monies dispersed and returned the crown and any other awards. In addition, the banned contestant must pay the National Promoter the $125.00 fine for not attending. Once they have paid all applicable fees, and returned all prize packages, they may be removed from the banned list. In no case may a contestant be removed from the banned list until three (3) years have passed from the National Pageant that they failed to attend. Any variations from this policy must be approved by the National Promoter for the systems involved.
13. Neither Bruce Cornwell or the place of venue will be help liable for any damages or injury to participating contestants, their assistants or backup dancers.
14. Any contestant not staying on stage for the entire crowning and photographs will forfeit their placement and prize money.
15. Registration fee for the Contest will be $100, it MUST be paid by cash or money order no personal checks will be accepted, if you wish to pay via PayPal contact Promoter at (812)480-9951. Completed applications may be mailed to Bruce Cornwell 617 S. St. James Blvd. Evansville, IN 47714 or may be brought to registration the day of Contest. Registration time will be 12:00 PM CST until 1:00 PM CST on Saturday November 7, 2009 at The Brickhouse Bar 201 W. Illinois St. Evansville, IN 47710. Tickets for Backup Dancers and assistants will be $5. A free dresser pass will be given at registration.
16. ALL music must be placed on one(1) high quality CD with nothing else on it. Talent music should be Track 1 and Crowning music will be Track 2. ALL CD's will be labeled with the contestants stage name clearly and legibly on the CD. You may not use commercial CD's that have multiple tracks. Contestants must be prepared to start their talent ofter the contestant before them has finished or if they are the 1st contestant, they must be ready when announced.
17. Contestants must provide their own music for Creative Evening Wear on a seperate CD with only this music as Track 1 on it, please limit it to 2 to 2-1/2 minutes. You may choose any music that will go with your style of Creative Evening Wear and you must turn this in at Registration.
18. Professional conduct is required both as a contestant and titleholder. Unprofessional conduct is interpreted by Bruce Cornwell and the Official Mister USofA MI office.
