Ok, its official - we're playing the Theatrikals stage at 14.10
The Theatrikals stage is going to be adjacent to the Fort St George Public House this year.

This is the biggest non-corporate sponsored free festival in Europe, it is without doubt the best day of the year for the Cambridge music community; every type of music you can think of, and most other art forms will be represented throughout the day. Get down and support it!

Spread the word!

Our debut ep is out June 2nd... 3 of our tunes for £3. You can pre-order by sending us a message with "i want a copy!" as the title. Or, if you're around Cambridge you can pre-order in Billys Skate Shop (Burleigh Street) and CamUnity Cafe/Cellar Bar 8 (Napier St).

We're also looking at sites to use to sell the tracks as downloads - at the moment we've set up an account here: www.indiestore.com/freewill and it looks like it will also be available through:  http://poundforthesound.com

The "hard copy" will also be available through http://rhythmonline.co.uk

June 2nd is also the date of the strawberry fair music and arts festival in Cambridge - we're playing at 14.10 on the Theatrikals stage (adjacent to the Fort St George).

Right, we've got a chance to show our stuff to some industry types, so we need some of you to come and let them know we should play at their festivals and get signed to their lables! tickets are available in advance for £5 (five bands playing on the night) - just message us and we'll sort you out...

The gig is at Cellar Bar 8 (cobbles yard) on Napier Street on April 11th...

Great news from the Free Will camp... we're getting plugged along with The Answer, Freeway and Super Stack on the official Paul Rodgers (lead singer of Free and Bad Company - yes that is where we got our name from!) official Fan page. Plus our music's being played in the background!

BIG thankyou to everyone who came down to support us last night at the battle of the bands final, we had an aboslutely awesome set, got LOTS of gigs out of it and some radio interest. The die-hard crowd of fans who managed to get there blew the roof off and made more noise than the local bands' crowds put together - unfortunately, it was on numbers and not decibels and local band The Brackets won - definately worth checking out... we're playing with them again this friday (16th) at a new venue "the barn" out the back of The Wrestlers..

To eveyone that didnt make it, fear not, there is a chance to redeem yourselves on April 11th at cellar bar 8 (Napier Street, Cambridge) where we'll be playing in front of several industry types... hope you can make it!

RADIO PLAY:
Heading Home got up to number 7 in this weeks revolution radio chart (revolutionstation.org).

Also, we recently went in to record an hours show with 209radio.co.uk, we played a couple of our tunes and got to review new releases, have a listen here: http://www.209radio.co.uk/shows/profile.php?show=roasting

we're also getting some play on the rock show on star radio (fm radio station - local to cambridgeshire)
REVIEW: nice review here from the Unity band of the year competition semi-finals taken from http://www.unityrocks.blogspot.com/ ...

"From the very first opening bars it was obvious that Free Will & The Bad Influences meant business. Solid bluesy rock songs with on occasion, wailing harmonica accompaniment. You could see jaws dropping as people mouthed the words "wow" and "awesome". It can't be bettered"..."..and the winner was....hushed silence for dramatic pause....Free Will and the Bad Influences. Who go into next weeks grand final. "

INTERNET:
We've signed ourselves up to a few other sites, so you can now check us out at these 3 sites (our favourite is probably bandman, where you can review tracks):

Had a great time when we went in to Big G Studeós (ok, our mate's livingroom - but we tell ourselves it gives it that old 70's roughness our music needs to have). Recording our songs live meant we had a seriously productive day... 7 songs recorded (and given extra sprinkly bits, like a harmonica and extra vocals) in about 5 hours. We'll be adding these to our website when we get the final mixes down... for now you can check out some rough mixes of a couple of the new songs on myspace. ENJOY : )
