I know this is a strange headline considering my socio-political affiliation but allow me to clarify. George Carlin said it best " Conservatives only care about the pre-born once youre born youre f%/ed....until youre 18 and can go to war " .

There is such an emphasis on life amoung neo-conservatives . The primary issue is that once these lives come to be there is absolutely no support for the life they claim to champion. They continually fail to approve of legislation that allows healthcare for all life to thrive . The children they weeped for because of the threat of abortion end up with diseases and dont have the drugs to combat them and they die. These are the same moral warriors who give unlimited power to drug companies so that people cannot afford medication they need to live. The conservative leaders also fail to promote livable wages so that people can sustain a quality of life in which people are not burried in debt and worried about how they are going to get their next meal.

The most abhorent contradiction in the "pro-life movement is the notion that war and torture are alright although the primary objective of war is to kill your enemy. In this war soldiers are in a kill and be killed paradox . In which they kill valuable men and women with families for abstract ideas . When these wounded ,scarred and traumatized soldiers return home they are hardly given healthcare and they sometimes return home to no home at all.

The "pro-life" conservatives also deny the scientific research into embryonic stem cell research because of the idea that it encourages abortion. Their values enourage death more than abortion does at least with an abortion a human life can be saved.

To end my rant i will again say I am pro-life. I believe all human beings deserve the right to live in a healthy clean environment and not feel the threat of war, murder, or suffering from diseases because of poverty .

Let me first begin by saying I am a Christian. I am fed up of hearing these presidential hopefulls and their bantor about the right to torture. These men claim to be Christians yet they approve of the same state approved brutality cause teh death of the one they call their saviour i think these people need to seriously check their values when they say they are pro- life and pro-Christ. What Would Jesus Do ? ....Who would Jesus torture ?

We the people, who have serious political and social concerns about the way our country is being run , need to make some changes in our dialogue.  I've been looking through alot of Kucinich pages and the dialogue seems to be mostly Anti-Bush but not Pro-Kucinich.  Most on this site would resort to calling Bush incompotent, a moron , immoral , and an all around douchebag and I would have to agree, but in order for this wave of political thought to continue we must move past the "Bush sucks" rhetoric and begin to talk about the issues in the context of the future and not the past.  In five years when history has been re-written and Bush is hailed a hero we need to have the ability to express what democracy is and know how to defend it. In the next ten years it will no longer matter that a candidate was against the Bush administration. We need to move on and ask candidates how they feel ( without blaming Bush to drum up crowd support) about cronyism , war , healthcare , immigration , civil rights , civil liberties , and yes even national defense.  When watching these television debates I feel like these politicians are like children caught with their hands in the cookie jar and to divert attention from themselves they simply say " Well, Bush got an F on his report card mommy "  .

My general philosophy was the current political landscape used fear in order to gain support. I only had half of the equation correct. Hatred is the primary governing factor in bolstering support amoung the masses. It has always been a tactic in fascist regimes . If the fascist state dehumanizes the "enemy" it makes the masses comfortable being idle when cruelty and injustice are faced by that "enemy" .

The mass media ( consent factories) continually reports instances of "illegal" aliens commiting crimes. These crimes are usually violent crimes such as murder. The same cases are be heard over and over again to give the appearance of these crimes being frequent. The public is then horrified and angered they feel that fellow human beings are nothing more than animals who will rape and kill in an instant. This robs other wise kind-hearted people of the ability to be compassionate.

The state uses  false issues ( homosexuality, immigration, moral decay, lack of religion) to bring about emotions of hate and keep the lower class fighting amoung themselves so that very few are seeking answers to the true questions ( why are the rich getting richer and the poor poorer? Why are we at war ? Why is police brutality excused ?)

One of the other dirty tricks of the fascist state is to produce sacred figures who are not to be questioned . Asking questions becomes an act of treason . It is ingrained from an early age that the state and its leaders are supreme to all other leaders and states. Anyone caught defying or questioning the state is a heretic and hated by the masses who intend to silence the one who defies.

This state also becomes interested in spying and censoring to ensure all you say , do ,or listen to is pro-state and it's agenda. These searches are without your knowledge or consent. America is not yet a fascist state and we still have freedom but we are great danger of losing it if we do not act!

I was listening to Utah Phillips the other day and he posed some questions about being against the war , fake patriotism, and the "support the troops" people. Utah was a former member of the military himself so he's no basher. One of the questions was "Why is it ok for one soldier to shoot another soldier when if one man shoots another man in the streets it is considered murder?" In my mind my response was "well, they are fighting for the land, ideals, and safety of their country." I began to think about my rationalization of war and I thought of gang violence. Gangs fight for land, money, and at times ideology so why is it ok on a mass scale ?

The second question was " How can a human being rationalize killing by saying it's not the troops fault he is just there serving his country . " That paints the troops as a mindless being who just follows what the policy is reguardless of the personal feelings they may have. Is this any different than someone who kills because his religious official tells him to or his God tells him to ?

It seems to be a taboo subject to ask these questions . Why is it a taboo "
unamerican" thing to do ? To say that it is unamerican to question these things suggests that our role as Americans is to support any war we fight and blindly follow. Any organization that makes it taboo to question it is very cult-like.

I was preaching the gospel of Kucinich at work today and a dear friend of mine was saying " you know my friend researched this donny kucivich guy you keep talking about and he's just a communist front you want a pinko for president."

When asking her why she says he is a communist she replied " healthcare for everyone I mean c'mon these people may not have jobs and they wanna sponge off me "  . I pointed out to her that Canada has a socialized health program . I went on to point out that not only homeless are uninsured there are companies like walmart ( where she had a brief stint) that keep people at 39 hours to prevent them from getting benefits.

I find it sad that our govenment can give tax breaks to the rich and subsidize billion dollar corporations and deny their workers a livable wage with no public outrage but when someone seeks to ensure that all people can recieve medical care they are terrified and start throwing those fear words at the problem. Isnt it an Americans right to embrace any political ideology they choose anyway ... so what if dennis were a "commie" if he is truely looking out for the interests of peace and equality he could be half goat .... just my annoyed rant of teh day thanks for reading it :0)

Category: Writing and Poetry

(Read the highlighted colors first they are what is believed about las vegas then read the entire poem to get the true story behind the lights... i was bored but i think its cool)

Flashing lights blinking, bedazzling, mezmorizing, blinding .

Our tinsel ,Our town ,Our downfall,

Quick fix made easy by a coin in a machine.

See Paris , See Egypt, but never see the world.

All our glitter holds no gold.

Song and dance while we empty your pockets .

Life is but a dream.

Wake up or youll live this nightmare.

Day in day out hustle ,bustle, lies, lust .

All hope is not lost we offer hope but at a cost.

Dance for the newcomers drunk and delerious.

Disillusionment comes like a bus through a tunnel.

Catch the 105 to reality .

Life is not a party you have been robbed .

You are stranded and away from home.

Whatever the hell home is anyway.
