Current mood: accomplished
Category: Writing and Poetry
Ohkay, here's the deal. I decided to try on a more serious style of poetry. People seemed to enjoy my other style, so let's see how this one fares. I was in a thoughtful mood, so I chose to write a poem about time.
"Time," by Jahn Johansen
The sand falls through the crack in the glass, As time creeps away from me, I sit and stare, With every grain of dirt that collides with the rest, I become aware of it's presence, reminded it's there, Once more, I understand, the past is the past.
The clock ticks away life as if it were never there, As this body softly withers like a dying rose, I try to remind myself that nothing has changed, But, sadly, in vane, the feeling still grows, If only I could live this life without a care.
What do you think?
