Met some awesome new friends in Hull, you must check them out people, they are called 'Next Years Hero' a top band and seriously nice people. They made us feel really welcome and organised a great show.

James and Lance climbed on the roof during the crazy cover of 'Dirty Dianna'

This is a small but brilliant venue, really good setup and holds around 200. Any bands looking for a cool location in Hull should get in touch with Brian the landlord at the Spring Bank Tavern, 29 Spring Bank, Hull.

If you want to hear or see a sample of the dirty dianna cover there's a vid on our profile shot with someones camera phone when we performed it in Hertfordshire with Lance.

Cheers from,

O.I.L. x x

Woke up to the tour bus driving giving a very bumpy ride. My bunk is at the very back of the bus at the very bottom, which means everytime we go over any bumps in the road (which by the way, american roads happen to be very bumpy) I get thrown off my matress and hit Craigs bunk (which is the one above). Anyway, back to waking up. It had to be about 1 o'clock in the afternoon, I think, considering I havn't got a clue of what day it is, what time it is, or where i am, half the time. I was going to get out of my bunk at the time but really couldn't be arsed because, getting out of my bunk is like being born all over again, but without the lubrication, so I decided to stay in 'bed' until the bus stopped.

The bus stopped at the famous 'Guitar Centre,' which I thoroughly enjoyed. They had so much amazing equipment including orange county snare-drums (endorsement please?) and tonnes of electric drum-kits. We purchased a few pairs of sticks (9 being a few) that will hopefully last me the rest of the tour, as I've been playing with my hands for the last 3 gigs! After purchasing these, I walked across the room to find Craig playing a Schecter guitar, which looks awesome. It actually looks like Syn Gates' guitar (probably because it is his custom model). It has silver pin-stripes on the body, just like my grandads old shirt! He bought it (surprise, surprise) using Steve's credit card! So no more pedals for Steve for the next few months, although he did buy a couple within the first few days of being out here!

After leaving the guitar centre we went outside to get back on the bus, only to see Tony (BBABH Singer) driving the bus around the car-park with the trailer hitch still down! Whilst seeing that we though it would be wise to run infront of the bus to stop it, but maybe not the best idea, we nearly got killed in the process!

The drive to the gig from the GC was only like 5miles so not too far. The venue is in Arkansas, and called The Village. It's round, like a donut, and is like a very small arena, probably used to be some kind of theatre. After unloading all our gear and soundchecking we went to Wendy's diner. We met Wendy, or at least it said that on her hat!? Me and Brad had a Double-Stack-Deluxe which is pretty much a double-cheeseburger from McDonald's. After munching our grub it was time to play. We did our usual thing and rocked the socks off of Little Rock, which they thoroughly enjoyed.

I headed back to the bus with James to have a beer or two, whilst Brad, Craig and Steve went to the merch table to sell sell sell. Me and James headed back to the merch table hanging out with the other bands and fans, untill having to pack away. At the end of all this we were all fairly tired so just headed back to the bus, where I am currently writing this blog now, with another beer in my hand! So I'll be leaving you now to get some sleep, I'm very tired and so are the rest of the band.

Until next time,

Good night!

Jaykay.

Wow… Metal Fest dude!!!

Today we Played Metal Fest in Plano, TX. There were so many awesome bands playing. We played first at 3pm, but that’s probably best! Only band playing at that time so all the kids there? All watched us. Oh yeah!

Last night was Amarillo which was pretty good, but there was nothing within walking distance of the venue and it was FREEZING!!!! They did lay on hot dogs though…

We came back tonight to a really awesome family’s house who go to shows and put on bbq and beers for touring bands! We love them! Their house is amazing and they allow bands to stay here all the time. So we’re gonna be leaving at about 10am tomorrow and we gotta get the stupid trailer fixed since the wheel fell off yesterday! Gah… we don’t really know how long we drove without it.

Today though… We got to watch a lot of amazing metal bands and, tho we didn’t fit in, we got a decent crowd. Sold 2 shirts and ate some good hot dogs

Really though, it’s like, nearly 4am here and We’re all really tired. Yesterday and today were really fun (especially today) and we’re looking forward to tomorrow! We should have some videos for you all as soon as we get to a decent internet connection!!!

Later guys,

Our Innocence Lost. x

So California, all done and dusted, we have to say it rained a lot more than we thought it would i.e. everyday and while we were meant to have 6 gigs there we could only play 5, which was a shame. There was a technical problem with the Sacramento gig and we couldn’t play, so we’re so sorry to all the fans that drove 3 hours to find that we weren’t playing, we tried our best.

Modesto was fun; it’s full of virtual gaming pods where you can play Battletech in big Mech’s. Very cool venue, just sucked we ended up opening the night because the 2 local bands that were meant to play before us turned up 10 minutes after they were meant to be onstage.

In Fresno something kicked off after we had played, we don’t know what, but they were going to shut the whole venue down before Agraceful or Blessed had played. Love Hate Hero had van trouble, so couldn’t make it, but again cool little venue and it turned out a lot better than we thought it would.

Anaheim, well? after some confusion we had 10 minutes before we were due on stage, so a bit of a rush, but it turned out well even if it was a short set.

Hollywood, we wandered around for ages with JK trying, but failing, to find the Hollywood sign he’d seen earlier that morning.

San Diego, this was probably our favourite as we got to see the beach and the Pacific Ocean, just an awesome time. But we already covered that in an earlier blog.

It took a 26 hour drive through the desert to get from Sacramento to Albuquerque, now if you check a map it’s only around 1000 miles, but we got diverted due to a storm and Google maps calculates the journey time according to the speed limit which is generally around 75mph, well the only way this bus is going to do that speed is if it’s dropped from a great height from an aircraft, it will do 55 on the flat, 65 downhill and somewhere between 20 and 35 going up hill and the road to Albuquerque is mainly uphill. Every time you look out of your window it’s just a different part of the same desert.

However, we stopped at some interesting places, one of the rest stops had a gentlemen’s club there, but you had to be a Harley Biker to be allowed in, so we just made assumptions as to what the dancers in there looked like, sorta reminded us of the movie from Dusk till Dawn.

So, we are pretty much half way through the tour, got about 3 more gigs in what we call the warm states and then we start making our way up North to places that make Manchester look like the burning fires of hell, shame JK didn’t bring a coat?

We’ve had a decent tour of all the food in Cali, we finally got to go to ‘In ‘n’ Out Burger’ and it deserves its reputation, the burgers are fantastic! however the fries are not so great, we’ve had a few Taco Bell’s and stopped off in the home of ‘Del Taco’ somewhere on the drive to Albuquerque, but all we’ve eaten for 2 weeks is fast food so we all feel a little worse for wear and would probably give our right arms for something that remotely resembled a salad, which is really saying something.

So we’re all at Tony’ from Blessed house tonight, we’re all looking forward to having our first decent shower in a week, if you don’t count the constant drizzle in Cali, that is!

So today is the gig in a church, it’s the first time any of us have been in a church in America, so should be an interesting new experience.

More to follow.....

Yo we’re in fucking Hollywoooooooooooooood!!!

The Whisky a Go Go fucking rocks! I can almost taste the history here. Wait no…. that could be hairspray…

Crowd tonight was pretty damn good and we’ve been for a walk down Sunset Boulevard. Me, Steve and JK ate at Mel’s Diner where the diner scene in Grease was shot!! Yessss.

So L.A. is probably the coolest city we’ve been to so far. And get this…. I’ve had 3 showers in 3 days!!! Unbelievable I know. Lol!

The Soma in San Diego was the best venue with the best dressing rooms EVER! That place is how it should be fucking done. Chain Reaction in Anaheim was a pretty cool place, but the staff… well, I dunno, no comment on them. I’ve lost count of how many limos I’ve seen tonight cos erm… The Grammys are on tonight! Just down the friggin road man! And what’s up with Chris Brown being wanted for assault??! Cancelled his Grammy performance along with his gf Rihanna just in case LAPD show up!” haha…

Signing off now dudes.

Later, James.

As I sit in the open air patio at Sets waiting for my BBQ Cheese Burger I just have to say how awesome the States really are. This is the only place where you can finish a gig and go to chill and find a kick ass artist selling her stuff, so James and I have picked up a few things that will be sent back to the UK, there will a picture of this awesome stuff to follow.

The artists name is Audra and if you are ever in Phoenix you should really check her work out. The gig went well it was nice to see some fans at the show, we’ve met a few of you guys so far, but it would be great to meet more of you. Off to California tomorrow if we can get online expect more great blogs and vids if not we’ll do our best to beg, borrow and steal an internet connection, but just so you know, we love the States, but it will be great to come back home and gig for you all again x x....

First date in Cali and what a state, it was a little bit like England this morning when it was cold, grey and raining but it soon brightened up, we went down to Ocean Drive and got Hodad’s for burgers, did a bit of shopping and then off to the gig. We did go down to the beach and it’s the first time any of us have ever seen the Pacific Ocean and it sure is stunning in California. We are at Soma’s now justgetting ready to play; it’s a cool venue with a massive room. It clearly used to be an old cinema, so the floors are sloped in the rooms. Not much to tell at the moment until we gig but looks like it should be good people are already queueing up outside.

Speak to you soon x....
