1. My Art:
    In a seemingly effortless throwback to early 90’s boom bap, Sky Writer spits “that’s right - I only listen to classics.” Despite shout outs to “ugly folk” to Garth Brooks and LL Cool J, this track falls in line with the smooth melodic likes The Pharcyde and Souls of Mischief. Keeping it real, this production sets the tone for the rest of the album…

2. Where Do We Go?:
    To kick it off, the dark tones of this track scream through the deep keys and stormy haze. With the gloomy chorus pulling the weight of confusion and frustration, each of Writer’s verses do a great job of adding anger to current issues of desperation such as “many theories on the market, but we think for ourselves”.

3. One Day (We Will All Get Down):
    To answer his own question, Sky Writer’s letter to the President (the 43rd, I’m guessing) “spreads awareness” to issues such as the so-called “war on drugs/hope”, Iraq, Afghanistan, and even those pesky commies in the USSR. Apart from the issues at hand, it’s not difficult to get down with the conscious b-boy flow.

4. My Eyes Have Seen You:
    In case you forgot that it’s 2009 from the previous product, Writer laces another tough-as-rocks Beta 7 production for all the internet creepers. In a familiar pitch, his verses address stalkers half-steppin’ all up in his eSpace. (Pause) Okay, but seriously, the seriousness of this track probably could have been substituted for a couple humorous lines.

5. Hour Glass:
    The ominous wooo-ooo-ooooh’s behind this bass-heavy Anno Domini beat gives Sky Writer some room necessary to show off his story-telling abilities. Given the opportunity, dope rhymes like “…the words were golden – stolen from his mouth, eyes closed, knuckles swollen” aren’t far behind. This cut stands out as one of my favorites so far…

6. Whatchu Kno?:
    Here again, Sky flaunts his rhythmical prowess over DaVerseCity’s mixture of melodic tones and synth-based choruses. In a reminder to listeners of who he is and where he came from, Writer’s simplistic flow rebuts passive aggressive thoughts claiming “at least I tried” to cap the first verse, which only serves to foreshadow various scenarios in the second and third verses.

7. I Disappear:
    With yet another “dark” track, this reclusive anthem allows Sky Writer to get his Staind on with a backing guitar that stretches his diversity (pun intended) in genres. Beyond the hopelessness that surrounds the production and melodramatic singing, the moral of the story behind this one seems to lean towards holding on to what’s left, whatever that is…

8. I Don’t Know Why…:
Utilizing his audience as a psychologist, Writer continues his depression filled lyrical tirade with a steady defensive flow against d’evils. Reflective in nature, Beta 7’s fine tuned boom-clap method proves again to let Writer step to the forefront and let loose.

9. Music Talks:
    It’s not difficult to tell that in today’s state of music, it would take quite the inspiration to put out a record like this in 2009. Obviously, the therapeutic pretense behind this record so far was to let the emotions linger – and this track is no different. With lines like “I’m immune to pain, and my name – is still irrelevant”, Sky Writer allows the music to speak for him.

10. People Are Strange:
    Yes, yes they are – and Writer uses this track to nearly close out the record with another tale phased in by a suiting Echo & the Bunnymen chorus sample. A.I.’s contribution to this project beautifully aids the audience to “…walk into the sun.”

My Art: good intro track. its real underground with the live
jazz feel. locally it has what it takes. I'm an easy critic with this
one but really, it shows talent. it has that story tale to it a.k.a art.

Where Do We Go: It's a different track. eerie and what's going to happen? the
vocals are lower than the beat, perhaps my fault? but it has a dope
concept overall. It keeps the album wanting more to offer.

One Day: Good Start to changing it up. Moves it right to a up vibe. Has a
nice anthem chorus, as in repeating it live or in the headphones to
oneself. raise em up raise em up type feel. I Pray for that day!

My Eyes Have Seen You: Dear Myspace your connection might benefit me or
not? yeah, you do...you help me. lol it starts off directing certain
ppl which is nice cause it generalizes a section of audience. it also
has a catchy hook that promotes conscience raps.

Hour Glass: The semi mid album track, has a good feeling and rhyme feeling. Shows that you have a life question within rhymes and not just saying something
other than before, lifes like an hour glass. it has its on points.
lyrics hit the beat on point with emotion. Of course a millon dollar
studio would help this message be delivered

Whatcha Kno: Nice half album track procduced by me lol goes from super serious with hyperness to more serious like listen to me...not so up tempo. go to
beat and listen to this knowledge and energy I give that I try...this
is life, whatcha know??? It acutally goes on point more than the other
tracks regardless of my beat. Perhaps cause of the more real life
perception.

I Disappear: So far one of the most requested songs
of myself. People love the difference. It has surprised me with what I
made and you created. I Really think we need to do more stuff like this
because I have ppl asking for this type of feeling. The whole silent
yet loud lyrics tell a story which you're good at.

I Don't Know Why: Oh man, has the album started over???? back to the intro??? my brain has started over again, yes! the music has returned my feelings
and dealt me a whole new serving. I think I found a solution to music.
intro + 6 tracks + 6 tracks + 6 tracks + outro. Overall I like the
placement of it, it gives the album a break of feelings and more a
middle line, listen to "ME". Personally I dig the look and borderline
hooks within the verse.

Muisc talks: 007 agent??? mysterioustype? he might be lost for once? oh hes an agent. damn. beat and lyricsmake me think...the music speaks for me, who am I???...its all i can dois wonder where, why, how. Whats this? Good wondering why track...ill.

People Are Strange: Ill doors reverse sample in a whole different aspect. I
didnt think it could be done but damn, out there alienated sample
lyrical track. its over in an instant. things are quick and straight to
the point but thats what its about. another mysterious feelings track.
woowwwww this is the outcome. you gotta walk into...then sun?? walk to
the voice??? happy that my heart has stoped. the outcomes wrong.
GOOD!!!!! nice outro.

Anything & Everything: The albums oversoon. good mixtape and album ender. people dont pay attention to life.Good teaching song. Its a nice outcome of the thick to thin. this iswhat it is. It came from me, to crowds, to others, back to me. ITSREAL! "Everything you know you were taught, and you never learned

thank you for taking the time to read an update about my life..
hopefully you find a portion of this interesting..

Well..as of September 12, 2008..

'Part 1' is a collection of material that i had written between November '07 and July '08, there is different moods and feeling throughout the album..some of my best work, in my personal opinion..

Next..

Iam currently booking shows under the Sky Writer alias, and working hard on 'Part 2' of this series..
so far i have gotten most of the beats choosen, acouple songs written, and i hope to get this ready for release by spring..keep an eye out..
