Current mood:  annoyed
1.) Back in August of 2008, Nancy Pelosi denied a vote to open more areas for domestic oil drilling and stated that it is her duty to use her position to save the planet.

2.) Later, shortly gas prices fell almost instantly from over $4 per gallon to under $2 per gallon, a congressional committee spokesperson stated $4 per gallon gasoline is the breaking point at which people change their driving habits," and proposed that gasoline be taxed to $4 of $5 per gallon in order to reduce carbon emissions. Basically, when gas got to be too expensive, people sold their suv's and bought "green" cars like these kooks wanted.

3.) Last week, while all of the news reports were focusing on the swine flu hysteria, Bill Ford, President of Ford Motor Company, took advantage of the distraction to ask Washington to tax gasoline to $3.50 or $4.00 per gallon so that they would know what to expect and what kind of cars to produce.

4.) This week Ford announced that they would be sinking $550 million into a former truck plant to begin producing an all electric Ford Focus. These things have not really caught on here in the States because many of us drive more than 50 miles in a day and we do still like driving larger and mostly safer vehicles.

5.) The only way that an automotive manufacturer can comply with impossible government regulations aimed at reducing "Global Warming," a theory widely disputed by much of the scientific community, is to force the majority of us to sell our average fuel economy vehicles and buy some 50 mile per charge crap that the government would like to force down our throats. I don't know about you but that would get me to work and then about half of the way home. Doesn't quite work? I believe that Ford is giving the government what they want in a "zero emissions" (until you plug the thing in of course) vehicle and the government will give them $4 per gallon gas to force people into buying said cars. But wait, most people cannot afford to ditch their old cars in this economy so I'm sure that the government will propose some kind of "credit" to help the impoverished among us live in a more environmentally friendly manner. I hope that the people riot from ocean to ocean and knock down the doors of the Capital Building when their representatives impose this confiscatory tax on them. Who do they work for anyway? Why do we even call them "Representatives" anymore? Change anyone?

Yeah... so... I was considering posting my essays from art history on my blog, along with essays I have written for other classes in the past. My problem is that I'm afraid someone will google "Neo Rauch" or "Shepard Fairey" and find my essays and copy them. I have the originals here with the grades posted on them and I could always refer to my professors if need be. I just don't want anyone to take credit for my ideas! What do you think I should do? I guess I could put the little copyright emblem at the bottom of each essay so that when a person does Google it, mine comes up as well. If professors have suspicions of someone plagiarizing, they usually Google it to make sure they didn't steal it from somewhere. I wanted to just share my ideas with other people but at the same time, I don't anyone to copy them for credit.

This so-called recovery bill is a raping of the American people of this generation and two or more generations to come.  This spending will do nothing to increase jobs or boost the economy.  It is filled with pork barrel, leftist, socialist agenda that democrats have been dying to implement for decades.  As far as transparency goes, I do not believe that one member of congress or the American people had the time to read the bill in its entirety due to the rushed method and fear tactics that were used in getting this bill approved.  The American people worship our new president like he is some kind of god or the latest American Idol winner.   Why doesn't he just stop reading the teleprompter prepared speeches and tell the people his real agenda?  It wouldn't matter anyway. They will continue to follow him unconditionally and without question.  They don't want to be informed. "Politics?  That doesn't really affect me." That is the overall attitude.  You just chose a puppet with a pretty face that you felt that you could promote like a pop star; one which could sufficiently present propaganda and flowery rhetoric without the inconvenience of being questioned by the populous or the media for that matter.  As far as our representatives go, I believe that it is time that they go find a dictionary and look up the word "representative," because they do not represent the feelings of the American people as a whole or have their best interest at heart.  If the people could be drawn away from their televisions for a moment, they would begin to realize that but I do not count on that happening.  If they had paid better attention in history class or maybe read a substantive book every once in a while they would understand that we are following a destructive path, chasing after policies that have never worked and have caused misery and suffering anywhere that they have been implemented.
Go ahead though.  Keep doing with our nation whatever you like.  Keep blaming the republicans and go ahead and mock anyone who publicly questions your motives or methods as crazy or a conspiracy theorist. Put them in stocks in the public square for all the world to revel in their humiliation.  One day they will be able to stand strong and say "I told you so," but they won't because they will be too busy mourning the destruction of this once great nation of freedom and liberty and they will spend their time pondering how things were taken from them that the founding fathers worked so hard to protect on their behalf.

For next "Artist Tuesday," we are discussing Shepard Fairey. You know, the artist that created the famed Obama poster. I either have to love him or hate him and tell why. As soon as I found out that his name connected with the Obama poster, I knew where I was going to stand. What I need from you is to tell me, after viewing samples of his work, whether or not you love it or hate it and why. I just want to see where I stand and if I am making a valid point. If you comment, please try not to pay attention to any other answers and do not let them influence your own. You may reply, as well. PLEASE STUDY EACH WORK CAREFULLY.

Some questions to consider:

What messages are you getting from each work? Is there a similar or contrasting theme? What connections can you make? How do you feel about the artist as a person by looking at his work? Do you see any contradictions or is everything pretty consistent???

If you think 99 percent of politicians give the rest of them a bad name

If you think taxes are ridiculously high

If you think that the problem with civil servants is that too many of them are neither civil nor servants

If someone asks you to take a urine test and you feel like telling them you'll give them a taste test

If you think that there are way too many laws about way too many things,

If you believe in the Bill of Rights

If you believe that no one should go to jail for smoking flowers

If you believe that just about everything should be bought and sold on an open market except politicians
.

If you your glad you don't get all the government you pay for

If you think the US Constitution is the only contract with America you need,

If you think the only gun permit you need is the Second Amendment,

If the only way you can tell a left winger from a right winger is by which one of their hands is in which one of your pockets
.

If you think the left is too left and the right is just plain wrong

You might be a Constitutionalist if you would like to meet one single Congressman or Senator beside Ron Paul who acts as if he or she has ever read the U.S. Constitution.

Well, how did you fare? Are you a Constitutionalist?

Sometimes, I feel like a fugitive. At night, I constantly feel as if I am hiding from...

These BUGS. These ALIENS. I hid underneath my blankets again last night. I've been reading Communion by Whitley Strieber. It's a fascinating book but I find myself also haunted by it. More like a "rebirth" of being haunted. I haven't hidden underneath my blankets since I was 18. YES. I said EIGHTEEN. I started in the 4th grade. I may not have always hidden. I find myself walking past windows looking to see if I see anything staring back at me through the blackness of the night with those big, black, soulless eyes. Also, I find myself night after night after stinking endless night looking behind me at the cracks of doors as I descend down the long, dark hallway from my bedroom to the living room. When checking on the kids before bed, I find myself cautiously peering into their bedroom and checking behind the door... a curious parallel to Whitley's account of checking the insides of his closets before bed.

The only "experiences" I've ever had were when I was about 14 or 15 having had "real" dreams of an alien standing at my doorway staring at me. Then, he was standing at the side of my bed. I've "awakened" to look down from my 2nd-story window and watch two or three slanky creatures running around the corner of my house. It was dark but the porch light around the corner reflected off the front of their bodies so I could clearly see what they were. They wanted me to follow them. I remember going downstairs and walking out onto the front porch where they were waiting. I walked into the front yard and they wanted to show me something. They pointed up and I saw a large, black 3-dimensional luminescent pyramid hovering on it's side about 30 feet over my head. The utility lights from next door, along with the front porch light, reflected from it and it gave it a subtle yellowish glowing color. It made no noise at all and it never moved.

This next incident was REAL. I don't remember if this was before or after the dream. I'm thinking that it was after the dream because I don't recall ever seeing anything like the dream after I had woken up.

My family and I were traveling into Huntsville from Toney, AL. We had turned from Morris Lane onto Pulaski Pike. Immediately, there were a line of trees going along the highway. I was looking out the window, of course, probably listening to the radio, when I noticed within the break in the trees a very large black object floating in the sky near the horizon. I know that it was about 1 1/2 to 2 miles out and it was quite large. I could tell this by the haze in the air around the object yet, still harbored longevity from tip to end. From my perspective, it looked like a rod (not cylindrical because it was flat on both ends like a bar) but for some reason, I had the sense that it was triangular and not a rod. Our car then passed a few trees and then another clearing and the object was gone. When I first saw the object, I thought it to be a kite or something similar but it was too large and too far away.

My ex-boyfriend's mom later told me that she had seen the same object hovering above her house during the day. This was purely a random conversation we were having about UFO's one day because I was always interesting in the topic and upon talking to people, I tend to move into the subject. I hadn't recalled the incident until she brought it up. I saw her a few months ago and again, randomly, I brought up the subject of UFOs and she again told me that story. Up until then, again, I had not recalled her telling me this until she had brought it up that second time. Aubrey was having the same conversation with us and he remembered me telling him about the object I had seen on that day while driving into town. It was then that I concluded that we must have seen it on the same day, at the same time.

All I know is... if I EVER see one of those aliens in my house or ANYWHERE, I'm going to kick it in the face.
