hi everyone,  As some of you may know... The Living Blue is not active at this time.  However, my group VILLAGE will be.  I've booked some shows in Chicago and will have a seperate VILLAGE page in the very near future, complete with songs from the upcoming LP.

There's a catch though, a minor glitch perhaps. The title track, "W,T,R,R" was left off the initial itunes tracklist. We're working on the problem and anyone who might have already downloaded the record, we are making the title track available for download on our myspace page. Our apologies for the mix up.

In other news: the band is fininshing up demo sessions for the next record in our home studios here in Chicago. This one's going to be a party jam, jangle fest. Also, look out for some live dates in Chicago and Champaign in the near future. We plan to tour extensively this spring/summer or as soon as we get a new van.

in a universe of constant discovery one's mind is perpetually growing... which means the music, songs, are constantly flowing.  we've got a new one written, maybe we'll commit it to tape in the very near future.  all night smiles.  W,T,R,R is going to be released digitally, set for January 20th.  be sure to get ahold of that one, its a gem.  we're going to be playing as many shows as we can in the meantime, any booking agents out there?  the van is in the shop again, that beast is a drain.  i think we're going to get a mini-van.  any mini-vans out there?

stay tuned friends, we love you all.  thanks to all our chicago peeps and the mannequin men for a great night at Schubas...here's to the next one!

We are back in Champaign for awhile with a new record under our belts. What a time we had! Big ups to our man Mike Lust who co-produced the sessions with us at his Phantom Manor studios in Chicago. We tracked 16 songs to 2 inch tape, fleshed them out with saxophone, pianos, organs, flute, strings, etc... we're feelin' real good about this one. Mike Racky came through and added pedal steel sounds as well as some Faces esque' rhodes piano on "Venus Fly Trap". We captured a wide open, natural sound, minimizing compression and other effects leaving a lush, dynamic, organic sounding record. We hope you'll like it too.

I'll be posting developments for the new record here as they evolve. We'll have a new website very soon at www.thelivingblue.com. Until then, see you at the shows.
