Hello everyone,
We know that we haven't been doing much of anything lately, and we apologize for that, but it's hard when your drummer lives in a different city and is busy playing in another band and your bassist is in a completely different country. But putting those matters aside, we haven't given up, although that's what it might seem like. Many exciting things are being concocted and will be revealed for you all on our next show which is scheduled for November 29th at Walter's on Washington.
Allow me to tell you about some things that have been going down:
David Howard has been writing songs on a completely different level. Like it literally seems like he wrote them on a different planet, different dimension, while in a different century. But no, seriously, they're good! It's like a breath of fresh air though, really. They're really vibey and completely unlike our past material. We hope you're just as excited to hear it as we are to reveal it!
I've been writing some songs on the guitar as well. Some are groovers and some are eerie with weird chord progressions and melodies, etc. These melodies will blow your mind, by the way! I'm going to invest in some vintage instruments to add a different flavor to our music. I'm excited about this, you guys!
David and I are taking this opportunity to re-think things. We both agreed that now was a good time to change our image completely and reinvent ourselves (not quite like Madonna though). There really isn't a purpose for a band whose only been around for such little time to reinvent themselves, but we feel like we've been through a lot already. We're approaching things at a different angle; in a more creative manner. We want to create a sound all our own. We don't want to be labeled in reviews and articles as that "local 'Arcade Fire' or 'Broken Social Scene' band" and we certainly don't want to spend more time in the studio than playing shows. We're definitely experimenting more than we have in the past.
We've been testing out different drummers and bassist but we still haven't found the perfect pair yet. We should have something by the time our November 29th show rolls around though and it will be soo good. We are just yearning for some consistency in our lives right now. Once we find permanent members we'll start playing more shows and perhaps even release an album of sorts.
BUT! you should quit reading this silly blog and go outside for it is beautiful! Remember that your life is beautiful as well. We don't want you to give up on us now, we love you. Thank you for your gratuitous words and keep listening.
Love, Pammm
