So here's the story....

on June 21st, Thursday night, the first day of summer, Smash Palace will be playing at the Sellersville Theater, in Sellersville, PA. Also playing that night right after our performance is "Best of the Beatles"..... Pete Best, of the Beatles (from 1960 to 1962).

I must admit, I'm excited, and from what I hear, it's a cool show he puts on...doing all the Beatles material circa 1962. I met the guitarist for Pete Best band last year when we were playing in Liverpool. He told us about Pete's upcoming tour so we were surprised when we were offered the show to open for him.

The details are:
June 21st, Thursday night
show is at 8pm sharp, and tickets are $27.00.
the address and contact info is
The Sellersville Theater
Main and Temple st. Sellersville Pa 18960 tel. 215-257-5808
www.st94.com

Other news is the new Smash Palace CD is completed and we are now doing the photos for the CD cover. We are expecting a fall 2007 release date.
Come visit us at www.smashpalacemusic.com

We also just joined the new Snocap service which allows you listeners to buy tracks directly from our myspace profile!!! Let us know what you think!

Hope to see you at the show and stay cool....

Hey...Here's an update on what's happening with Smash Palace.

We've started recording the new CD which will come out this fall. We're about half way through so wish us good vibes.....should be a cool CD with lots of new songs.

We've gone top 10 at a couple of cool radio stations that you can check out and stream on your computer for free....WVIA (www.wvia.org) and M3 radio in NYC (www.M3radio.com).

We now have 5 Smash Palace songs that will be used for commercial purposes by the new clothing store "Martin and Osa" (which is owned by American Eagle).

We have some new photos up on our web site www.smashpalacemusic.com (in the slide show) and on www.myspace.com/smashpalace so please check 'em out and leave us a comment!

We'll be opening for a Beatle....that's right, a real Beatle .. and it's not Paul or Ringo but the original Beatle drummer, Pete Best, at the Sellersville Theater on June 21st. You might want to get tickets in advance because they expect a sellout crowd.

Smash Palace will be returning to the UK for another tour in late May and early June. We'll announce dates as they come in.

Check out the website for other shows coming soon www.smashpalacemusic.com

thanks for all of your continuing support...and we hope to see you soon...butler

January – New Recordings
The band works furiously to complete recordings for a new compilation CD to be released by Zip Records.

February – You Tube
The video for "Living on the Borderline" makes its debut on You Tube and it introduced to a new generation of fans. Later in the year, Sony Records would make the video available for purchase through several outlets.

March – Redesigned Website
Smashpalacemusic.com got a much needed facelift to reflect the artwork from the forthcoming CD.

April – Best of '99-'06
The new CD is released in the UK.
The band appears on WSTW FM for an interview and acoustic performance.

May – UK Tour
Another successful tour of the UK including a performance at the International Pop Overthrow festival in Liverpool. The BBC ranked Smash Palace one of the top 10 bands at the IPO.

June – MySpace
Although the page went online in October of 2005, it really picked up steam with the addition of hundreds of great "friends" and continued to thrive throughout the year. Thanks to all of you for your continued support!

July – US Release
The new CD is released in the US. To commemorate, the band plays the Tin Angel in Philadelphia. This would be one of many appearances at this showcase venue.

August – The 10! Show
Smash Palace appears live on NBC 10's morning program and performs "My New Sensation." A video of the performance would soon appear on You Tube.

September – Radio Radio
Several songs from Best Of get picked up by radio stations all over the country.

October – Opening Act
The band does 2 shows with worldwide acclaimed acts. The Bay City Rollers in Sellersville, PA and The Beautiful South at the TLA in Philly.

November – I Want To Tell You
A cover of the classic George Harrison penned Beatles track is recorded for release as a B-Side to a UK single. The song could also be heard on WMGK's Breakfast with the Beatles and on MySpace.

December – Tin Angel Reunion
Another great appearance is highlighted by former band mates Harry Lewis and Wali Smith (known as Metro in Quincy) joining the band on stage for some older numbers.

Add to all that, great cd reviews in amplifier , pop culture press (song on cd sampler too) and numerous other publications.

The new year is already looking promising; the Smash Palace song, Give you my Word will be in a new motion picture called "The Meeting". New radio stations continue to add songs to their playlists and the band will be returning to the UK and Europe in the spring.

Thanks so much to all of you!
Have a Rockin' 2007!
