THE SECRET IS OUT...  

..“So, as you may have heard, I, along with a small contigency of studio tanned soldiers took a short expedition to Hawaii and spent a not so tropical but nontheless fun filled weekend locked down in the studio working with Mr. West.

Kanye sang on a song I wrote called HURRICANE for our new 30 SECONDS TO MARS record and we experimented and explored on some other ideas as well. It was great. And he sounds amazing on the song. We may not have brought back any island tans but we did bring back the final track and it was an unforgettable trip.

P.S. Brandon Flowers is the nicest guy on the planet and has a great sense of direction. We may not have found our way home that night without him. Thanks Brandon.

P.P.S. We hope to see you all on Sunday, April 26th in Hollywood, CA for "The Summit" at... THE AVALON More details coming.

Kanye West Working With 30 Seconds To Mars On New Album

Band's management confirms Yeezy was working with Jared Leto on a song for the band's next album, due later this year

Regular readers of Kanye West's blog are probably aware that the man is obsessed with fancy sneakers, all things sleek and tech-y and posting borderline-creepy paeans to women he'd like to bed (they're probably also aware that, thanks to the makers of "South Park," he can never eat in a Cheesecake Factory again). Oh, and it's not exactly news when he posts a photo of himself in the studio, since he's seemingly always working with someone, somewhere.

But on Tuesday, when West posted a picture of himself with Killers frontman Brandon Flowers and 30 Seconds to Mars main man Jared Leto, it surprised even the most faithful of his fans. This wasn't your everyday Kanye collabo, after all.

"I was working on this dope-ass song with Jared and Brandon stopped by. I played them some of the new Jeezy beats, and before everybody bounced, Brandon hopped on the keyboard and I hopped on the MPC [sampler]" West wrote. "She was dope. Oh, and yes, those are Swarovski crystals on Brandon's shirt, by Dries Van Noten."

It is a pretty impressive shirt. Anyway, the post raised a rather interesting question: Why was Jared Leto in the studio with Kanye West? Last we checked, 30 Seconds to Mars were working with noted British producer Flood on their new album — the same album currently being held up by a rather contentious (and costly) lawsuit with their former label, Virgin/EMI.

So, we decided to reach out to 30STM's management to try and get to the bottom of it all, and here's what they told us: Kanye and Leto were working on a song for the upcoming 30 Seconds to Mars album, which will be released later this year.

There was no further comment given (and no one seems to know why Flowers was there), but the news of a Kanye/Leto collaboration is certainly interesting and it's a glimmer of hope for long-suffering 30STM fans out there, still waiting for the follow-up to the band's breakthrough 2005 effort, A Beautiful Lie.

Not to mention, it's more proof that you learn something new from Kanye West's blog every single day.

"...30 Seconds to Mars have revealed some of the track titles from their upcoming third studio album This Is War, their first full-length since 2005's A Beautiful Lie. The album does not have a confirmed release date but is due by year's end. The band has produced the effort alongside Flood (U2, Nine Inch Nails, Sigur Ros). Confirmed titles include:

"Kings & Queens"
"Panacea"
"Hurricane"
"Night of the Hunter"
"Search & Destroy"
"Artifact"

Jared Leto Gives More Than 30 Seconds to Rescued Kids.

Jared Leto wants kids in need to have more than a so-called life.

The actor-musician and his band, 30 Seconds to Mars, on Friday opened up their recording session in the Hollywood Hills to boys and girls who were rescued from prostitution by the Los Angeles-based nonprofit Children of the Night.

COTN, which counts Hugh Hefner and the Johnny Carson Foundation among its biggest contributors, has aided more than 10,000 youngsters between the ages of 11 and 17 since its founding 30 years ago by Dr. Lois Lee.

- ho aggiunto allo space 3 video clip dei guys: i video ufficiali di FY, The Kill e Attack!
I have added to our my space FY, TK and ATTACK official videoclips!

- ho inserito diversi banner tra i quali quello del WWF, e viene organizzato nella sezione foto un album totalmente dedicato alla visita dei guys a Milano lo scorso febbraio!
I have added new banners like the one dedicated to WWF and a new section dedicated to all the photos made last febbruary in occasion of their ItalianAdventure!

- progetto ogni mese di aggiornare lo space con una gif glitterata di uno dei guys per augurare ai ragazzi della division e del my space un buon nuovo mese!!! Questo è il mese di Jared! Il prossimo sarà dedicato a Tomo! (ricordiamo quello di Shan per febbraio!!); tutti i glitter verranno poi mesi nella sezione “Projects”
I have planned to create every month, for all the division’s friends, a glittered gif dedicated to guys, to wish a very nice new month! Febbruary has been dedicated to Shan! March to Jared and the next to TOMO! All the gif will be posted in the projects section!

- nella sezione immagini dello space ho aggiunto anche le pagine del nuovo articolo di kerrang-London nel quale i ragazzi preannunciano l’uscita del loro III album! Forse già per questa estate!!!!

-3 Il my space della division è stato completamente rinnovato: non è cambiata solo la grafica, ma sono stati aggiunti diversi banners cliccabili (tra i quali quelli di ABL.org) e quelli relativi al forum! Ho poi pensato di aggiornare il tutto in attesa dell’uscita del nuovo album e delle nuove votazioni!

2- La division ha deciso di firmare 2 petizioni che Silvia ha trovato sul web; se la prima petizione sottoscritta si preoccupa di manifestare il nostro disappunto relativo al  “massacro delle foche in Canada” (cioè quel bracconaggio illegale che avviene periodicamente fuori dalle norme dello stato americano, da parte di cacciatori spietati), l’altra invece si preoccupa della caccia indiscriminata della balena; Silvia ha creato due banners che serviranno per sponsorizzare in nostro progetto novembrino!

Milan Rebirth Division has decided to subscribe 2 petition inspired by ABL. org; the first is against the canadian seals' massacre and against all kind of  poaching! the seconds is agains the illegal and indiscriminated hunt of the whales; Silvia has created 2 banners to support this project on our space
