It's a miracle! We made it to the final of battle of the bands! It feels like we have won just getting to the final to be honest. Getting to meet Tom Hingley too all in the one night. Amazing.
I was sorry to see Tango in the Attic go out of the competition as i felt they should have gone through too. They were hotly tipped to win it and in probably should have.  It's a funny old game though. They have T in the Park and a Schuh telly add to console themselves with though, which isn't too shabby.
We are recording our first proper studio demo at the mo and it sounds great so far but we have a lot more work to do on it. When it's ready we plan to release it as an EP and pretend that we are like a real band! Lol
As well as the very tallented Chris Corrigan on guitar we are rehearsing with a second guitarist called Ben and he should be up to speed soon too. Hopfuly, this will give us a bigger, better sound!
This is all being overseen, directed, mind gamed and generally bullied out of us by Paul (Spector) Bruce. Paul has taken an interest in the band and is helping us get our act together. He is also producing our new demo and is teaming with great ideas. We would like to thank him because he only gets paid the odd bottle or two of Corona! Poor lad.
Cheers. Mark

Is it cool or uncool to wear your own bands t-shirt?

I think it's well fucking cool!

I got our Catch 22s t-shirts made and i think they look bloody splendid, i'm proud of our band and i don't see anything wrong with wearing one.

I went to the Greenside the other night to see some bands. I was proudly sporting my newly printed Catch 22s t-shirt and the sound guy Neil gave me a disapproving look and solemnly shook his head and said "you canny wear yer own band's t-shirt man!".

How no likes???? How bloody no????

Somebody give me one good fucking reason, come on then!

We had a brilliant laugh shooting the video to Catfight. Watching Lisa and Michelle hitting each other in that under pass was always going to be top quality entertainment. Of course we are not Paramount Pictures so we couldn't get the underpass closed off to the public, and innevitably some poor bloke with his dog walked in on, what must have looked like, an extreme "Happy Slapping" incident.  Then minutes later the fuzz showed up and serious questions were asked! After explaining we were making an amature promo video for a local pop band they decided not to drag us down the station. Then Lisa tried to get the embarrassed constables to be in the video! They declined unfortunately. Good laugh though, looking forward to the next one!
