Mike D. here...I run the myspace site for NRSV.  I used to sing  2nd vocals with the guys. 

I stopped doing shows roughly 10 years ago. (ok ok...I did 1 show in 05 and 1 in 06)  Recently NRSV was offered an opening slot for my favorite band of all time the Bad Brains.  The show is at Irving Plaza.  I asked the guys if I could do a few songs with them and they were more than happy to let me do a few.  I know its a Wednesday night and mostly everybody has work/school the next day.  We do go on early....roughly 8ish....I assume it would be a early night.  I hope some of the old school guys come down and show some support for the old man...

I'm really looking forward to this reunion show for Neglect. Ive been blasting the Neglect tunes all week long. If you know me personally I always tell the story of the first time I saw that band play and how blown away I was at their live show. Neglect has always been one of my favorite bands of all time. I was really pissed when they decided to break up the band. You rarely get to see an original sounding band. And if you go to shows as much as I did.....most of the bands tend to sound and look the same after a while. After I stopped doing Hardcore shows with NRSV I really haven't gone to many shows since.....(only....KYI, Grey Area and Domincan Day Parade).......I guess after seeing/playing a few hundred shows you get a little burnt out.

I always teased the guys in NRSV if Neglect ever possibly had a reunion show.....I want to be apart of it. Next thing you know(years later) I hear reunion rumors....so I start to email Derek (guitarist). Derek, I've known for a few years now....(he knows I'm like a 13 year old school girl in love with Neglect) was happy to put NRSV on the show. I really appreciate that. It's a great feeling to play with bands you admire. Derek if you read this...thanks again. I hope some of you guys come down to see the show. It will most likely be the last time I will do vocals with NRSV......(unless the Bad Brains give NRSV a call) I really appreciate NRSV letting me get up and do this with them. Technically since I have a NRSV tattoo that gives me the right to do shows WHENEVER I WANT. I think Vinny Value who was the original NRSV drummer may come hang out at the show along with Dray Lockdown the bass player that recorded Rocks the Party with NRSV. I'm probably gonna be really drunk (like usual) so if I act weird just ignore me. I do hope a few of you will say hi. Let me know if youre coming down.
