Hello all you loyal and loving fans! I know it's been a while since we've had any news, but when we make up for it we make up for it BIG TIME!

Variety announced world-wide today that the casting process has been completed for the upcoming film, "Notorious," portraying the life and death of Biggie Smalls.

And the world will soon know what we've all known all along: Antonique Smith is an incredible talent and the ultimate of stars.

Yes, it's true - Antonique will be playing the role of the famous Faith Evans, Biggie's wife/widow and a music star in her own right.

Shooting is set to begin in 2 weeks and the movie will likely be released at the start of next year.

OUR GIRL IS FINALLY GETTING HER BIG BREAK!!!

Hey ya'll! I want to thank everyone who came from near and very far to see me in RENT last week! You have no idea how much it means to me! I try to make it known when I see you in person, but in case it's not clear, here's a note to say thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Some big and exciting stuff is happening which is why my stint in RENT was so short! I'll be keeping you posted!! :* I appreciate you!

On July 3rd, Antonique will be appearing on "One on One with Steve Adubato" on Comcast CN8 at 5:30p.m. She recently sat down with Steve for an entire half-hour interview - and there was, of course, a little singing, too! CN8 is a channel available to Comcast customers only, and the show will be aired only in states on the east coast from Maine to Maryland - so if that includes you, be sure to set your TiVos right now so you don't forget! If that doesn't include you (and I am also in that boat, so I feel your pain.), be sure to find a friend or family member who will have access and can record it for you :-)

The show's website is www.oneonone.org, so be sure to check out the site and keep track of what they have coming up. I'll try to send out a reminder of this as the week goes on, but if you know you're a Comcast subscriber with access to CN8, you might as well set that TiVo now so there's no chance of forgetting!

Bad news for those of you who already purchased tickets to the April 7th show hoping to be there an support Antonique at her last performance that night: You may want to try and sell those tickets off if you were only going in support of her last night, because April 7th will be nothing more than your daily (although outstanding!) performance of RENT - *not* a final night on stage.

Good news is, you can buy tickets for April 29th instead :-) Antonique has extended her stay with RENT for a few extra weeks, so if you haven't seen her yet don't worry - you've just been given more time!

April 29th is THE LAST DAY. There will be no more extensions on her part, as it's time to get back to work on that much-anticipated album. So one more time, sorry to those of you who already bought April 7th tickets with plans to show up - signs of support and all - for her last show... but now you have a few extra weeks to enjoy your favorite Mimi before it's all really over. Get those April 29th tickets TODAY!

Hey there, loyal friends and fans!

Well, before I have you jumping to conclusions let me give an update first: this isn't a bulletin with any big news on the album, but it's still in the works and Antonique is back in LA right now doing what she does best. I promise we'll let you know as soon as anything major takes place in that area. Keep your fingers crossed and your prayers headed heavenward for our girl!

Beginning on March 8th, Antonique will return to the Nederlander Theatre in New York City to take the stage once again as Mimi Marquez and perform the role as only she can. Q: Where is Antonique from/where does she live?
A: East Orange, New Jersey, born and raised. She still lives in the same house she grew up in throughout her life.

Q: When is Antonique's birthday?
A: August 11th. Start shopping.

Q: How old is Antonique?
A: 19, but she's old for her age :-p

Q: You're kidding, right?
A: Yes, but you're still not getting the real answer. Gotta keep some mystery alive...

Q: Does Antonique have any siblings?
A: Yes, she has a younger sister named Antonia.

Q: Does Antonique smoke and/or drink?
A: Absolutely not. She cares too much about her voice (and her life) to ever smoke, and alcohol is also very bad for the vocal chords - especially while doing 8 shows a week on Broadway!

Q: What are Antonique's favorite colors?
A: As is obvious from the design of all of her websites, the answer would be red/burgandy/pink, white, black. Purple is also good :)

Q: Favorite animal?
A: Monkey

Q: Favorite singers? Songs?
A: She's incredibly ecclectic and has a wide variety of taste in music, so choosing one or two favorite songs of all time is nearly impossible. However, her musical influences are Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, and Celine Dion.

Q: Where did Antonique go to college?
A: Technically, she didn't - however, she did take several classes at the School of Film and Television in NYC.

Q: How did Antonique get interested in acting and Broadway?
A: She was always in plays with school and church growing up, and eventually started working toward a career in TV and films. She never actually had aspirations for Broadway specifically, but her agent sent her on the audition for RENT and the rest is history.

Q: Where was Antonique trained in singing/who were her vocal coaches? Basically, how'd she learn to sing like that?!?
A: Antonique was never professionally or educationally trained for her voice. She perfected it simply by singing along to music by the great divas like Whitney Houston. Her voice is a gift from God, and she is very grateful for the talent.

Q: Is Antonique working on an album, and if so, when will it be out?
A: Yes. Antonique is a singer/songwriter and is currently working on an album. She hopes to have it out by early 2007. But as always, we will keep you informed on any news regarding it. Sign up to the mailing list for instant updates.

Q: Does she do live gigs?
A: Yes, whenever possible given her schedule. Gigs will become more frequent once her time with RENT has ended.
