55DSL Celebrates Their 15th Anniversary with a Special XV Collection
New limited edition collaborations and a special collection will be released in honor of the 15th Anniversary

– Oh, how time flies! This year marks 55DSL’s 15th birthday, and we’re
proud to say we’ve watched as it has grown from a radical skate line
into a key lifestyle brand. And what better way to celebrate than to
unveil a year’s worth of surprises for you?
In honor of this milestone birthday, 55DSL is celebrating the past by
looking to the future with revolutionary collaborations and exciting
events. Drawing from the style archives, 55DSL has reproduced 15+15
iconic pieces from past collections, which will be unveiled for the
spring/summer 2009 and fall/winter 2009/2010 seasons. At the heart of
this capsule collection beat the brand’s original sports, military and
vintage influences, and are translated to jackets, sweats, tees and
pants.
Creative Director Andrea Rosso is always on the lookout for new
collaborations to stoke the artistic fires of 55DSL. And this year is
certainly no exception. For this special birthday, he has created a
celebratory t-shirt in conjunction with Barcelona-based graphic studio
VASAVA. Pop into a 55DSL flagship or other select store worldwide to
get your hands on this special gift-with-purchase tee.

…Senor Blanco. Who? It’s still very hush-hush right now, but it will be worth the wait… Intrigued? We certainly hope so!
…The digital design tournament. 55DSL is partnering with Cut&Paste
for this live-action digital design competition that is set to take
place in 16 cities across North America, Europe and Asia. The
race-against-the-clock design challenge tests the skill and creativity
of international digital artists and comes to a climactic end in New
York this June.
…A special collection of sunglasses by Safilo. Each style will bear the
specially designed 15th anniversary graphic logo in an array of
colours. Collect them all.
…A huge bash of 55DSL proportions set to take place in Bassano del Grappa (Italy). It’s sure to be the party of the decade!
