Category: Romance and Relationships
It's interesting to me where your mind takes you when you are having one of those, I feel like mud days. Every one of us has those friends that are in a relationship that just doesn't make sense to anyone but them. Often enough, I think it doesn't make much sense to them either, they just don't want to be alone, or they are use to having the other person around and decide that it's easier to stick with what is familiar as opposed to stepping out of the boat and taking a chance with "waiting for the right one", the one God really intended for them. So, the impatient, or lonely, or "comfortable" decide to do what is called "settling". As Christians, "settling" doesn't make sense at all. Why? Well, in order to settle, you have to make the conscious decision to give up faith. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Hmmm..so in settling, we are definitely not pleasing our Father, who had a much better plan for our lives than we could have ever imagined. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the EVIDENCE of things unseen!! We have to have faith in order to believe that God exists, that He has promises and plans for us that are so far superior than the ones we had for ourselves. Whether these plans or promises seem feesible or not, should not determine what kind of faith we have in the realm of relationships. God is the same yesterday, today and forever! He brought Xerxes & Esther together, Boaz & Ruth, etc. Proof that for God's glory in the plan He has for our lives, He will put people together that don't appear could ever be together. To me, true faith is the belief that the unrealistic is the most realistic if it stems from the vision God gave you! Example: 1. Xerxes had a queen.Who would have ever thought that a young Jewish girl (Esther) would replace this queen and win the heart of a mighty Persian king to save her people for the Glory of God? This is a great example of a promise that definitely would have seemed unrealistic to Esther and everyone around her. I know my purpose in this world and know God has a special someone, who is suppose to accompany me on my mission/music ministry for the Glory of God. So I know that I don't have to settle, no matter what the circumstances look like right now. I choose to stand in faith and believe in the promise & plan that God has for me. Settling will NEVER be an option for me ever again and I pray that for you it's no longer even a thought in your mind! Blessings, Evi Check out this video: Realize by Colbie Caillet

Most people deal with fear and negativity from within and from without each day. We might even doubt whether we can finish whatever it is that we started out to do. There are so many times when an encouraging word is the difference between us quitting or continuing.
Encouraging words are gifts. We should all make it a point to be encouraging to the people in our world (circle, environment). When you offer encouragement to someone, not only are you giving him or her a gift, but in that moment, by taking your eyes off of yourself, you are defeating self-centeredness.
Why do people often find it easier to point out the weaknesses they see in someone rather than finding ways they can be encouraging. How can people so easily point out the area someone can improve in and find it hard to tell someone where they are doing a great job? What's wrong with having the reputation of being the most encouraging person in your "circle"?
I think today should be a day to go on a criticism fast... even if you have a legitimate criticism or even if you feel like your criticism is "constructive," don't share it. Just for today, let only encouraging words come out of your mouth.
That's my challenge to you...are you brave enough to take the challenge?
Every one of you is special to me in your own particular way and I love you All!

Just grab a bat, pray, thank God for the homerun you are about to get, swing & hit that sucker out of the park!!
After that, don't forget to ease past those bases thanking God for his strength, focus & favor! When you get to that home plate look to the heavens, praise Him & thank Him for making that winning run & carrying you through it, cause you couldn't have done it yourself. Then last but certainly not least... as you walk back into the dugout preparing for that next ball your gonna have to smack out of the park.. Laugh your bum off at that silly devil while reminding him that it is written... "we are more than conquerors through Him (Christ Jesus) who loved (loves) us."
