Hill country are coming home after an exciting weekend of festivals and border crossings. After our first international show in toronto, we were off to buffalo for thursdays on the square. We have some great footage from the stage that i will be posting soon on the hcr youtube channel. After our set in buffalo i had the pleasure of watching the los lonely boys. Those brothers do work. They are my new favorite blues trio.
Friday we were off to allgood music fest. It was a family affair for me. Galactic, robert randolph, moe, claypool are all old friends and tour mates. It was great fun catching up with them. I have to say the highlight for me was having jackie greene sit in on keys with hill country. He played the whole set with us and totally rocked the house. My california soul brother.  We were the first band on the main stage, so we were excited and surprised to see our picture on the front page of the dominion post the next morning at the gas station! Finally we made our way back up to new york yesterday for a nice family fest in pleasantville. It was great playing with big head todd again, plus making new friends with back door slam. Am i rambling? I think so. Coast to coast? Definitely. There is no place like home. Thank you dorothy… - cody dickinson
