We are approaching the end of Sojourn...
Have a listen to 'The Hunt' acoustically on Joy 94.9FM TODAY at 2.30pm.
If you miss that, then you'll HAVE to come to our final gig next week at The Birmingham Hotel Friday October 16th (Corner Smith St and Johnston St in Fitzroy).
We'll be playing some golden oldies! Onstage at 10pm.
We love you all. We're signing off from here on in. Thankyou to everyone for your support, comments, coming to the shows and your love.
We will leave the myspace up. Promise!
Meanwhile, Jon and Josh are playing in a band called Dancing Heals. Where the songs are based around Jon's solo material whilst he was in Sojourn. Check us out at www.myspace.com/dancingheals

Sojourn are Calling it a Day...

After 8 years it has come to that time when this band calls it a day. SOJOURN have been through it all - from forming at High School in Launceston, Tasmania and then re-locating to Melbourne in 2002, the band has released multiple EPs, toured half the country, spent an epic 5 weeks in Los Angeles playing with the likes of Steel Panther to capacity rooms on the Sunset Strip.

Fights, break-ups, new members, and the general heartache that comes with being in a rock n roll band never got the better of Sojourn. And despite it all we are happy to say we made it through all that bullshit and remain as close as ever. New musical pursuits and relocations for members beckon.

So join us for one nostalgic night on Friday October 16 at the Birmingham (cnr Smith and Johnston St, Fitzroy) to celebrate the excellent adventure we've all shared. Joining this final line-up will be Mr Samuel Spurgeon and Mr Matt Swanson to play the smash hits from their time in Sojourn... And I guess a whole bunch of people will play tambourines!

Thank you so much to all of you that have supported the band over the many years. We are well aware that many of you came to so so so many shows time and time again and gave us what we needed to keep making music. We salute you.

See you at the Birmingham!

Hello everyone,

Sojourn have finally completed two new tracks produced and mixed by Mandy Kane.

We're so excited and happy with the result and we've uploaded them onto our music player so that you can all enjoy them!

The whole band agree that this is the best that Sojourn have ever sounded recorded and we'd like to give a big thankyou to Mandy Kane for his faith in us and for the hours of work he did on the tracks.

Some of you have have noticed a new biography up on the page and we'll have new photos up for you as soon as they are completed.

The band have kicked it back into high gear as we write new songs, perfect the set and rock out at our shows.

Sojourn are back -  fiercer than ever.

Hi all,
Sojourn were in the Hot House studios on the weekend recording two new songs that you may have heard in our live set. "The Hunt" talks about bisons in the dark and the rocking "Automatic" speaks of cool things.
Producer Mandy Kane is putting the finishing touches on the mix and as soon as the songs are available we'll put them up here on our Myspace.
For pics from the studio session, check out our photos.
From this point, we've got our final gig at Revolver on Thursday April 2nd before Sojourn take a 2 month rest stop.
But do not fear! We will be back, much more fiercer than ever.

FINALLY you can go to I-Tunes and buy our double A-Side single 'Load Up/Spaceship'.
It was meant to be released December 1st 2008, but this was delayed after a hiccup with the distribution.
It's so good to see it finally ready for all of you!
Thanks for your continued support of Sojourn.
Love from all of us.

Hi Friends far & wide.
I have some updates for you about Sojourn world.
1. We have seen in 2009 with a few fantastic gigs with Neon across Melbourne. Our last show at Next was a riot and a great end to our first month in the new year. Thanks to all the new friends we've made already this year, I hope we see you at shows in the future! Check out pics from Next in our pics section now!

2. We're about to bunk down for a short while to start pre-production with producer Mandy Kane at the helm to work on a new single. We're all reall excited about new songs and working with Mandy to get something cracking out during the first half of the year. I will give updates as this progresses.

3. On February 12 we're stoked to play support to the Hoodoo Gurus. This will be a mega show. It's in Moorrabbin, so all y'all south south of the river will have to come along and check it out! Send us a message if you want a ticket.

4. I don't know why the fuck our single Load Up isn't on i-tunes yet. Somewhere, something has gone haywire and it's taking WAY longer than it was supposed too. We'll let you know as soon as it's up. Until then I'll be snapping necks (with my mind) until it's up.

5. I have not had a drink since December 31 2008 and have been writing a heap of new songs and have been really inspired. But I'm starting to get bored and will booze up next week at Ryan Adams in Melbourne. Yes, it's time to get messy again. Just not TOO much. It's so fucking awesome not waking up with a hangover everyday. You know?

6. Thanks for continued support and thanks for reading this far down. Maybe if a few people actually read it i'll write more and we can become better friends. Maybe?

7. Adios!
