Hi everyone

Hope all is well.  Just wanted to give you an update.  I leave Rent at the Duke of Yorks this Saturday.  After 5 months or more of rehersals and the show I'll be sad to leave.  Working so closely with a cast of people, like that at Rent, has been such an amazing experience that I'd like to think I'd do something like this again!  Although I know just from speaking to my colleagues that we had a such a small tight unit of people that it's probably why we've all gotten on so fabulously!!  The goings on in a theatre are like that of a mad tour, so what goes on tour stays on tour ;-)    So just as I'm leaving, I just wanted to say on here, a great big thank you to all those who came to the show and whom I met at stage door.  There is going to be some hard partying going on this Saturday....I will be making up for lost time with a flight to catch to Cuba at 9am the next morning.  Anyone worried I'm going to bugger off for an eternity can rest assured I'm gone just a week before starting the new record the day I come back!!  Hurrah.  This could possibly be the best few weeks ever!!!

To all those messages I haven't been able to get back to.....I have seen my closest friends twice in 5 months!!  8 shows a week has been taking over my life...in the best possible way....but I promise to get back to as many as I can immediately after my break.

With a bit of luck with my entry forms, I am training to run the new york marathon this November, I'm pretty much in the best shape I've been in since I was 10!!  Anyone looking to lose weight or get fit....go and work in musical theatre for a few months!!  I have a vast amount of respect for all those who'll still be out there working their butts off 8 times a week.  I am literally going to see 10 shows when I get back from holliday.

So I've been very naughty and haven't posted what I've been getting up to.....I'm sorry! The theatre schedule might kill me yet!! I played G.A.Y @ the astoria Saturday night with the rest of the RENT cast. I was dileriously tired after the two shows we'd already done that day, but it went down a storm. Jay who plays Angel and Leon Lopez as Tom Collins perfomed 'Today 4 You', me and my two pussycats performed 'Out Tonight', and Ms Denise Van Outen and CJ performed 'Take Me Or Leave Me'. We finished by all singing 'Seasons of love'. It was a great end to an amazing week, even if I did nearly collapse at the end of it! For those who caught the show, thank you for being there, and for those who didn't, I promise to make sure my dates are up here from now on.

I'm going to be DJing again soon at BoomBox for my lovely friend Richard Mortimer. I headed down there this Sunday as I missed the place and for the halloween dress code, I popped on a horse tail while my boyfriend donned a top hat, muchos fun had all round.

Check out these pics from Sundays Doombox @ www.dirtydirtydancing.com I'm page 3, although it's everyone elses mental outfits you want to see!

Siobhan aka Ms Mimi Marquez ;-) Xx

EDIT: I'm playing BoomBox this Sunday!

Sorry it's been forever since I have updated my page! But I've some exciting news all though I see a few people on here already know about it, you are always ahead of the game.....where do you find these things out!??

So I'm going to be playing the character Mimi Marquez in the new updated version of Jonathan Larson's musical. William Baker is directing it who has been art directing Kylies projects for many a year. In fact, everyone behind the scenes are so wonderful and have CV's to die for. They contacted me about getting me to audition over a month ago now and I just didn't think I'd be cut out for this kind of work. It's 8 shows a week! But they are confident I can do it and I have a very experienced cast who I'll be working with who have promised to give me every trade secret to get me through!

It's a touching story about a group of impoverished friends, where some, my character included, are battling with aids, and serious drug addition. We get by because of our love for one another and just last week I flew out to New York to see the show on Broadway and totally understood why it is about to become the 2nd longest running musical over there. We need it revamped over here for a London audience and that's what we're doing. We're just about to head into rehearsal and the show opens for previews on the 2nd of October and officially on the 16th Oct @ The Duke Of York Theatre.

I have turned down many work commitments I had previously in order to do this show as I feel something very special is being created!! A tour will now be rescheduled for early 2008. In the mean-time, you can catch me performing at Manchester Pride on the 26th August @ Popstarz.

The response to the album has been fantastic, considering I tend to commit commercial suicide, all that matters is that you love the tunes. That makes me happy!

Love and kisses from your newly appointed thespian friend

Ooo I nearly forgot, head on over to The Rent Official myspace page and befriend them. They'll keep you up to date with all the latest on the show. they also have some pics up.

So the day has finally come. Believe it or not, I only got to see the finished booklet etc on Saturday night. I'm incredible proud of this album. We have all worked very hard, from producers, musicians to my mangement and everyone at Parlophone. It's been a great week for me, my sister got married on Saturday and all my family came over from northern Ireland for the occasion. It was amazing, so we're all on cloud nine in my household and celebrating non-stop. I hope you enjoy this album, and for all you naughty people who downloaded it for free, you've done it now..... but if you love it, buy it!!! ;-)

Link to purchase 'Ghosts' at HMV

Also, over at iTunes there are two bonus tracks when you purchase the album called 'Man on a mission' and 'Re-offend'.

At each stage of the making of this record, from the music to artwork to the videos, a lot of love has gone into this project. I hope you love it as much as we do.

Edit: Oh dear, there appears to have been a bit of a cock up at the manufacturers and some copies have been recalled. The curse of the donaghy strikes again. This is being fixed immediately...probably will have been sorted by the time you read this in fact. X
