Halfset have just been nominated for the 2008 Choice Music Prize.
Other nominations include Jape, David Holmes and Rarely Seen Above ground.

'Another Way of Being There' has been named Irish album of the year in Day and Night in today's Irish Independent.

we had an amazing time at the album launch. we didn't expect so many of you to be there.
we were a little nervous at first but soon realised you were all listening and rooting for us!

we want to apologise to those who had trouble getting in to the after show party. there seemed to be confusion at tripod between the management and door staff. we sorted the problem out eventually but are worried that some of you were turned away.

could those who didn't get in please contact us? we'd like to make it up to you somehow.

thanks again for your continued support. it's made the last three years of hard work on this album feel worthwhile!

naomi ryder is an excellent designer who works with texiles mostly but has created amazing paintings too. she has designed sleeves for lots of bands and is great to work with.

every piece of art on the album is stitched with white thread on silk.
