Wow...I was told today by another store owner in Spooner that Green Day members have been in our bakery and love it! They vacation near Spooner with in-laws. They also bought ice fishing gear at a local clothing store on Christmas Eve. In the past we've had the host from Hometime out of the Twin Cities. He's stopped numerous times on his way to a cabin build shoot in Hayward. No matter where you go, our little town is recognized for it's unique, family owned shops. You can bet they wouldn't be coming to Spooner to go to Wal-Mart!!! Hurray for Spooner! :)

We're busy making changes at our shoppe. The walls are being painted, new home-decor merchandise is arriving daily and we've started making shamrock cookies for St. Patty's day...we can also make GREEN breads and buns, but they go fast so make sure to order ahead! (Surprise your kids for lunch and make them sandwiches on green bread)
Since Easter's fast approaching, we've started making hot cross buns, today is the first day of Lent :). We also make an awesome braided coffee cake we call a King cake, filled with butter, brown sugar and cinnamon sugar and topped with colors truly fit for a King. Watch for our place to be hopping with bunnies, chicks and eggs when we start making our delicious old fashioned cut out cookies.
Hope to see you soon...think GREEN!

Over the years, all of us have offered a helping hand at the bakery. Phil and Nancy worked together there before they were married, Dan and Kim met there and Mike and Julie worked together as well. All our kids were raised in the shop while customers enjoyed watching them grow up:)
