Current mood:  exhausted

It's grown pretty obvious that OUTLAW, the brand, is more than a t-shirt or a hoodie, more than clothes in general – it's a way of life. I've been on the road almost constantly since our last update, which I apologize for being so long ago, but I guess that's the chosen path for our kind. From Las Vegas, Nevada to Rockingham, North Carolina; we've been hittin' up drag strips as often as possible trying to spread the word that is OUTLAW Clothing Company.

Most of the work we've done, especially in the design department, has taken place on the open road. While one of us drives, the other is at the wheel knockin' down mile after mile on the open road. Thank God for Verizon wireless and their WiFi card or we'd be sending smoke signals back and forth trying to build this brand.
We're preparing to embark on a guerilla marketing program, something like an indie rock band would do, in an effort to create a following and increase brand awareness. If you're interested in reppin' for OUTLAW on a street crew – plastering everything you see with decals and earning some free... Read More >>>

Current mood:  focused

Summer…and lands on Houston Raceway Park. The unveiling of the soon-to-take-over-the-racing-world brand, OUTLAW, made its debut appearance at the American Drag Racing League's Dragpalooza IV event in Baytown, Texas just outside of metropolitan Houston. With 52,000 people stuffing themselves into the facility over the two-day event OUTLAW was exposed to the masses for the first time. This type of racing, that of the no-rules flavor, is the perfect match with OUTLAW and everything that we stand for. 3,000 some odd horsepower door cars and the ice-cold temperatures in Houston (which were shocking to those of us expecting tropical weather) made for some exciting racing and a whole lot of driving – refuse to lift style.

The OUTLAW Clothing Company-backed ADRL Extreme 10.5 Pontiac Grand Am, driven by David Janes, even made it to the final round. The on-track success equated to some stellar marketing opportunities for the OUTLAW crew as we were interviewed for the television broadcast of the race. Being able to plug our clothing of choice for a national TV audience was pretty exciting for all those involved.

The most exciting part of the whole weekend was seeing all these people rockin' OUTLAW Clothing. You name 'em and they were reppin' the baddest brand in the business. One of the most enjoyable, though, was Summer, a cheerleader from the NFL's Houston Texans football team, who slowed down just long enough to pose behind the wheel of our 10.5 car for photogenic proof.

Numerous records were broken during Dragpalooza IV. From Jason Scruggs' incredible 205.87mph pass in his Pro Extreme '63 Chevy Corvette to Billy Harper's 3.92-second run in Pro Nitrous, it was non-stop action in south Texas. All the OUTLAW crew were just stoked to be a part of one of drag racing's first cultural experiences. There haven't been a whole lot of racing events that local fire marshals show up to and close the gates... Read More >>>
