All good so far with the europe tour. Dave abbruzzese is kickin on his first tour since pearl jam and jara is spot on as always ( we are rockin a slapbak song in the set too) and bernard...well you know bernard he is always on fire. I am having fun with my dbz imperial guitar , my green caparison and my proto type haydon/ashdown british guitar amp ( also many guitar builders have brought me cool guitars to chk out and jam on )
I had a cool dinner in berlin last night with dave the president of gibson guitars nashville , jim from epiphone and ulf the head of gibson germany and it was mad fun! ( Sushi in berlin is no joke)
Shows are getting tighter and we are doin some cool stuff from bernards solo cd as well as the nicklebag cds and we bust into the trio format for my colorcode songs long way to roll and two souls ( I busted out indian chief by myself the other night in hannover when we ran out of encores AND bernard is singing my song " are the Gods smiling on me" and I wish he would have sang it on the record cuz he sounds fantastic. We are also doing a mash up where we play the music to indian friends and bernard sings his song gettaway over it.
If your in europe come hang out. If not I will chk in again later S

... A LITTLE DAVID COOK!!
just back from a 3 day no sleep trip to toronto where i shot a video
with the the lovely singer janet panic ( i played guitar on the her
song) and while there i did everything but sleep!! my little pal
cindy gomez signed a deal with interscope and had a showcase at the
spoke club with dave stewart from the eurythmics
which was mad fun BUT then janet and i went over to the home of dan
lanois to say hello and what a treat that was!! we talked for hours
about our mutual friends and the great records he has made including
many u2 records as well as how he worked up the bass sound for the song
sledgehammer by peter gabriel
it was a true treat for me indeed!! in the morning i jumped a flt to
san diego and stopped in at the del mar fair to see david cook and his
band and they really rocked!! i was like a proud father in a way
watching how far they have developed as a band since we started back in
september...very cool
i am carlsbad now and will jam with ron blair and the tri city rollers
tonight at the royal dive in oceanside calif. so if your close come on
down
ok talk soon
