Hey BBc! Finally, the news...we're announcing TWO New Year's Eve celebrations this year!

First is the post-Phish show celebration at The White Room in Miami on Tues, Dec. 29. We hit the stage at 12:30am for a dance party til the wee hours of the morning. Then, we're excited to announce our New Year's Eve show in MUSCLE SHOALS at the historic Grand Shoals Theatre!!

It's been over a year since we brought it back home and there's no better time than New Year's. The Grand Shoals Theatre has been recently remodeled and reopened so we're stoked to bring y'all there! Alabama-based Grown Folks Band is opening...gonna be a full night of music...

We also want to give a big nod to over 50 years of music produced in the Muscle Shoals area and pay tribute to all our fans who helped launch our national career. Thanks Muscle Shoals, can't wait for this one!

Thank you for your continued support in feeding the hungry everywhere the music plays!!

Last but not least, we're excited to announce four more dates added to round out Fall Tour...we'll be headin to Greenville, Charlotte, Richmond and Blacksburg!

What's up BBc? I know we always start out by thanking everyone in the BoomBox community that came out to see us, but this time it's hard to just say "thanks". It was really a stellar West Coast tour and we can't thank y'all enough! From Earthdance to Portland, Reno to Los Angeles, and especially after the passing of a family member, you all really showed some love and support. Thanks to Alice and Josh in Portland too- great pics, nice words from them: http://www.melophobe.com/articles/interview-boombox-portland-or-fall-2009/
And San Diego was a great way to round out this tour! The overwhelming support at the double-sold out show was amazing. West Coast, we will be back...

New tour news! After playing Zombie Ball on Halloween night in Austin http://www.zombieball.com/ the November tour kicks off in the south (5th and 6th) in Oxford, MS, and Mobile, AL. We're making stops back in Columbus, Chicago, Madison and St. Louis to name a few. Check the whole tour here: http://www.thisisboombox.com/shows.html

Big news! We'll be heading to Denver for the 2nd annual "BoomBox festival" called 'RE:CONVERGENCE' on Nov. 13th and 14th. Last year's CONVERGENCE in Ohio, was the beginning of something great, so we'll try to do this every year! This year we're adding other artists and acts like Ana Sia, Grown Folks Band, Lazor Sword, Samiyam, Two Fresh, Jason Sterling, DJ Rootz, and many more. It's going to be a party: two rooms/two nights at Cervante's Masterpiece Ballroom. We're supporting Conscious Alliance the entire weekend too, so bring your canned/non-perishable food items in exchange for a show poster, let's feed the hungry in Denver!

And finally, what the entire BBc is waiting to hear... We're in the studio now, and the new album "downriverelectric" will drop January 2010! We've introduced a few tracks already at our shows, but get it in its entirety soon!

Thanks to all again, see ya soon...

Due to a passing of a family member, BoomBox has regretfully canceled their set for tomorrow night’s show at the Nocturnum, in Eureka, CA to briefly return home to attend a funeral and spend time with family. However, because of the overwhelming support the group has received on the West Coast, performances in San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego will remain scheduled as planned.

Godchaux explains, “I want to thank everyone for the support on this West Coast run. We are really honored to share what we all share together at shows.” He continues, “My family’s encouragement and your support led us to the decision to return back to California on Thursday (October 8th) to perform in San Francisco and finish the remainder of the tour.”

Fans planning on attending the show in ..Eureka.. will still be treated to a night of music from Ana Sia who has been touring with BoomBox on this West Coast tour and are encourage to make the trip to San Francisco to see BoomBox perform on Thursday, October 8th at the Independent.

The band thanks everyone for their support and kind thoughts.

Hey! --Just a quick shout out to let everyone know that BoomBox apologizes to everyone who came out to see them in Seattle at Showbox SODO Lounge on Friday night. You did not get a full show, but for reasons beyond BoomBox's control...

The lowdown is that even after sound checks, the power and sound went out at the venue multiple times. They lost stage power twice, front of the house power once and lost the main PA system twice. Unfortunately, the guys working the venue that night were unsupportive of the situation and did not lend helping hands.

Of course, no power = no music, and at midnight it was decided by all to pull the show entirely. Ben, BoomBox's tour manager, insisted he get on the mic and tell the crowd what happened (instead of the venue). It's apparent that not all in attendance heard the news about what happened at the venue and BoomBox wants to clear up any current rumors.

Russ and Zion would like to come back to Seattle in the future, of course. With proof of purchase (ticket stub or otherwise) BoomBox will gladly put anyone that was at the show Friday night on the next Seattle guest list. Again, all apologies about how the night unfolded. It's not in their nature to end a show early, as many of you know...  Thanks to all who came out, and see you next time!
