Munchie has been a friend to our band literally since the beginning, and he's throwing a show at his house this saturday. Unfortunately we were not able to play the show, but I highly suggest you show up and check out the bands and MAKE A DONATION to help save Munchies house. We're not one to beg for money, but this is a tough situation for a good friend of ours, and we simply want to spread the word and help him raise enough money so he doesnt lose his home. details available here.

http://www.myspace.com/33669541 click on pics to view the flyer.

Munchie's address is 23061 mound road joliet il 60436

even if you cannot go, a donation would be greatly appreciated. A lot of you know munchie, and you know us personally too, so please know how important this is. Make any checks out to Adam Munchler. Thanks and I wish Munchie all the best in saving his home.

Some sad news from the world of the hope. Terry's grandfather passed away this morning. We will not be playing the show tonight at the mutiny so he can be with his family. I encourage you to still go. Good bands, good beer, good times.
Anyway, our condolences to the Morrow family. Grandpa Red was a good man. So, have a Milwaukee's Best in his honor tonight...I know I will.

This will be our first show in many months, I hope you didn't  forget about us!
(In case you did, we're the guys who make fun of angels and airwaves all the time) Anyways, this is an excellent 3 day festival featuring the finest punk rock in the chicago area.

RH plays on day 3, SUNDAY MAY 24th, and our slot is at 8:20 PM, but you should hang out all day and listen to punk and drink cold beer.

We are very excited about playing, it's been a very long time. We have a few new songs, and we will look forward to seeing you sunday may 24th at reggies in chicago for our first show since last summer.
Thanks

We've posted some shitty demos of songs we've been working on. The reaganomics is ryan's hope, just kind of mixing things up, greg and nick have some songs where they sing lead vocals, and basically we're all just having fun writing and playing these songs. I'm sure we'll be playing some of these tunes at the hope show in may at reggies.

Hope you enjoy the reaganomics, aka ryan's hope got drunk and started writing minute long pop-punk songs......

My personal fav Reaganomics lyric is from nick's song "Midian"
"I want to hang out with my cat all day, but I can't cuz I got a fuckin job."
poetic.

Current mood:  aroused
2008 has been a good year for Ryan's hope, and I want to take a minute to thank everyone who downloaded Chaos E.P. our newest batch of songs this year.
(if you havent yet, get it for free here)

We haven't played a show since the loved ones show at Reggie's in JULY, which feels like a lifetime ago, and we want to thank those who support our band for staying with us despite the lack of shows.

I'm getting married in 2 months, and as you can imagine, that's taken up a lot of my personal time, not to mention my school schedule which is pretty demanding. Nick also got engaged this year, which we're very happy about and  Greg has been busting his ass at work since our last show, but he's been very active with writing and recording, as Nick and myself have been too. Despite all these "life" circumstances both exciting and trying, Ryan's hope is still Greg Nick and myself, and we take the same pride in the band as we did when we started in 2002.

In 2009, we plan on releasing a new full-length, and I'm certain that in the next couple months we will be playing a show at the beat kitchen in Chicago, not to mention a possible spring fling mini tour.

We've had a blast over the last 6 months jamming on new material. We've even messed around with songs where Greg and Nick are singing lead vocals on songs they wrote, which has been a blast. A lot of the new songs are pretty stripped down, with a more pop punk approach, and leaning in a direction less technical and more just rowdy and catchy. But that's not to say there won't be a "by the sword" of "bastard epidemic" song or 2.....we still have metal cravings....

Ryan's hope is sitting on over 60 demos on my cpu and gregs laptop. Not sure why, but we seem to be just spewing out song after song, and they are ending up very short and very raucous, which makes me pumped.and now it's a matter of getting together and building something great with these ideas, so wish us luck in the coming months, and we'll keep you posted on our quest for a means to record this album.

HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Greetings!
It's been a long time since the last show/update, so here it be:
We're all broke and working our asses off.
We are sitting on a couple new tunes, and saving money to invest in some recording equipment. So until we get that stuff, I'm afraid we wont be able to share these tunes with you!(maybe we'll post a rehearsal vid like we did with "go to hell")
Though we're all very busy, we have met periodically to jam and drink beer, and it's been fun. We'd really like to play in the joliet area very soon, but we're having an awful time finding a place for cheap. did i mention we are broke?

any suggestions on a joliet show, we're all ears, especially if we don't have to pay too much. It would be fun to get an old school local show together and play for fun.

Otherwise, hope all are well. and check out this new vid I posted today.
