Yuksek is preparing to show the states what all the buzz is about with four select US dates at the end of March and the release of his debut single,
“Tonight,” on
March 24th via
Cherrytree Records/Interscope. The string of shows brings him to San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York and an in-store performance at Miami’s Apple Store.
His debut record,
Away from the Sea, has been a runaway hit in his home of France, with
“Tonight” reaching #1 on the dance charts while he has been packing the UK’s biggest clubs, festivals, and venues including London’s Fabric and annual dance festival Global Gathering. Live,
Yuksek’s performance is impressive - his fiery sets see him swooping between his vintage keyboards and FX board with focused finesse, alighting every venue he visits. In addition to his live sets,
Yuksek has also been the subject of universal praise for his remixes, including the likes of
Lady Gaga, Mika, Kaiser Chiefs, White Lies and
Tommy Sparks. With disarming ease, he mixes pop hooks with dance floor devastation, post-punk riffs and acid loops, disco grooves, experimental arabesque flourishes, house beats, and catchy melodies to create mini epics that boldly declare the idea of “genre” an anachronism.
