HEY FREAKS & CREEPS!

Tomorrow night, October 29th at the Bagdad Theater, get ready to make your Halloween a lil' more EERIE!  Uncle Eerie, that is, and his Spook-tacular Shiver Show!

CHILL! At the sight of LIVE MONSTERS roaming the theater! These demons have broken free from their cages and are dying for FRESH FOOD!

FILL! Your bellies full of delicious sweets (and probably a lot of alcohol)!

SPILL! Your drinks from laughing at the the hilarious hi-jinks! You've never seen aything like this - unless WEREWOLVES PLAYING THE BANJO is an everyday occurrence for you (yeah, we thought not!)

'Old Fashion Halloween Ho-Down'
at Disjecta

Saturday, October 31st
Noon til 4pm ~ All Ages
$5 for those 13yrs+
Disjecta
8371 N. Interstate Ave
ON the Max Yellow Line

What's your best HALLOWE'EN party plan?

Put those costumes on early THIS Saturday, October 31st from Noon-4pm and make your way to Paul Bunyan's backyard at Disjecta!

An amazing non-profit arts organization in North Portland, Disjecta and the Portland Hallowe'en Bazaar, along with Voodoo Doughnut, Uncle Eerie's Shiver Show, Creepy Cult Printing, The Lippman Co., Driven Dead Car Club, New Seasons Markets and the Chief Joseph Elementary School PTA are hosting an Old Fashion Halloween Ho-Down!

This mid-day-family-friendly event will easily be North Portland's best Halloween bet! Disjecta has been completely remodeled into a phantasmagoria of spooky sets, weird worlds and rowdy rooms. Packed with old-timey Halloween games, live music featuring Podunk and Jim Strange with The Proud and The Damned, DJ Great Pumpkin, a RAFFLE benefiting the R&R Camp for Girls and Friends of Lone Fir Cemetery, Halloween Craft Tables, and a Cupcake Walk sponsored by the Chief Joseph PTA raising funds for their fabulous Arts and Sciences After School Program!

All of this, with food and beverages available and a costume parade at 3pm for the kidd-os... we've crammed a whole lot of Halloween into our afternoon party.

So here's the angle: as you know, Halloween is on a Saturday this year... We're teaming up with some amazing community groups with some serious spooky fun juice and putting on a DAYTIME party (noon to 4pm) that is cheap and a memorable way to start the greatest day of the year and then head out to go trick 'r treatin!

What's that? You don't have kids ya say? Well read on my 21 years of age or older friend...

Disjecta is shutting down until 9pm to switch gears to an alcohol-fueled-adult-mixed-media-monster-mixer!

That ole cantankerous coot Uncle Eerie from Portland's Shiver Show will be MCing the rotating stage of party bands including PCopy, E*Rock, Atole, and featuring DJ Automation while the faceless goon known only as Phantasmo Video will be hosting the Vintage Halloween Video Vault! This costume party will be swingin till the wee hours of the morning and will cost the crazy cheap cover of $10...that is unless... you already have the attendance stamp from the day time Halloween Ho-Down, then it's just another 5 bucks.

Want it broken down all pretty like? Follow THIS: http://www.disjecta.org/events/halloween2009.php

Seriously, we've got your best Halloween intentions in mind!

YOUR 2nd Annual Portland Hallowe'en Bazaar was a shriiiiieking success! We had over 2,000 wide-eyed Hallowe'en and Day of the Dead enthusiasts at this year's festival and 90% of them were families of the trick or treating age group!

The weather was wonderful, including the insane flash flood down pour that lasted all of 2 minutes...and all of our amazing vendors really made it clear that the Pacific Northwest is second to none in spooky fare and wares!

If you have photos of our event, PLEASE, please tag us in them so we can add them to our folders here.

Jayne will hopefully write a more detailed thank you later because my mind is still healing! ;)
