So as you all know, we just won a Hollywood Music Award at the end of 2008 and finished up our 2008 f.y.e. tour. What do we have planned for 2009 you might ask? Well what I can tell you is that in mid February, you might not recognize our page. It will contain pictures and bios of a few new band members that I hope you will help welcome to the band. Also the new page will contain all brand new songs! These songs will be written in a different style than the last album was written. I do not believe that the members of our "old team" would have supported this style of music that we are about to unleash on you. I hope you are ready for what we are bringing to the table. These songs will be just as catchy as the old ones, however they will be unpredictable. So my question for you is are you still with us? Are you ready for what's coming?- Comment this blog with some positive words and 3 of you will randomly be picked in February to get a free mp3. The mp3 will be your choice of any new song we post! .....Hell, we might give you a few.

Hey guys!
To start off this blog, I'm excited to say that we have been nominated for a Hollywood Music Award, in the "Best Female Vocals" category for our song "Better Off Alone"! We will be heading to Los Angeles in about a week for the award ceremony, and to make our first Red Carpet appearance.
Secondly, because there were never any "formal introductions" made, I'd like to take this post to re-introduce everyone to Daydream On Autopilot!
I'm going to start with Oleg. Oleg has been there since the beginning. Or, he's been around longer than anyone else and has STUCK around through just about everything. He is a classical pianist with over 15 years of crazy classical piano playing under his belt (and when I say crazy, I mean he can play ANYTHING under the sun). He's also a very talented gymnast (ask him to backflip for you at the shows!) and he's one of my best friends. Aside from myself, I'd say he has worked the hardest for this band and he's shown his complete dedication over the past five years. Oleg is also the creator of the name "Daydream On Autopilot", so without him, we might be something else. Perhaps something not so pleasant? Perhaps.
Then there's Jason. Jason is someone I've known for a few years as well, also a great friend, although we parted ways to pursue different projects once in the past. But when the time was right, Oleg and I created Daydream On Autopilot and gave Jason a call. Jason is the kind of guy who can play guitar, bass, drums, switch between instruments, and you'd think it was the only instrument he plays (because he's so good at it). Also a fantastic writer (you'll hear some of the new stuff we've been writing soon!)... He also does a fabulous impression of The Joker from Batman. Make him do it. It's really good.
Mr. Zhach Kelsch is up next. I'd have to say I haven't known him quite as long as Oleg and Jason, but GEEZ, he is a crazy awesome drummer, and he is becoming a great friend to us all. Just check out the clip of him drumming that we have up on our myspace page! Zhach is also a singer but he won't admit it nor flaunt it, and one of my favorite songs that he enjoys singing is "The Wicked Witch is Dead" from the Wizard of Oz.
Chris Hughes is up next! He's the youngest of the group (I think... is he? I should know this, huh?), and he is an amazing guitar player. He hasn't had quite as much experience as the rest of us in this crazy industry, but he is quick on his feet and has proven so far to be an excellent performer (and he surprises me every day with new wicked stage moves and crazy guitar licks!). He also managed to convince Tom for a good twenty minutes that he was actually a car thief and that he had an extensive criminal background. He really doesn't, but he sure was convincing. :P
Lastly, there's me. Emii. I sing. I dance, jump, and mosh around on stage and I rock out. I love people, I love meeting everyone who comes to the shows, and I'm honored to be able to perform and use the talent I've been given to make people smile. I think that's all I can say about me.
I am frequently humbled by the sheer amount of talent that the guys in this band possess and I felt the need to embellish upon that fact. We've all been working very hard and have thankfully been getting somewhere-- Slowly, but surely. All my life, the "Never give up" has consistently applied itself. As everyone knows, this is a tough industry. But it ain't so tough to people as stubborn and hard-working as we are.
Music is life, and it is all we know. For me personally, it is all I'm capable of doing, because it is all I am.
So that's us. Daydream On Autopilot. The sum of what we were, what we are, and what we will continue to be.
'Nuff said.
^m^ - Emii

Note: In a few of the pictures, you'll notice Emii devotedly holding the Cardinal. Special thanks to Valley Grove Elementary for the gift-- he'll be making many more appearances throughout our tour!
Note 2: To all of the amazing people we met while visiting the area schools... you guys are AWESOME! If you've found us here on MySpace, send us a note because we would love to hear from you. We're not allowed to post pictures from the schools but we will be back in IN to visit you soon and rock out once again. It was an honor performing and talking with every one of you!
Crazy FYE band picture number one, with Tom Peterson...

And then, the trip to IN...
After the long drive to Indiana, we visited five schools in one day to perform and talk about Character Counts and we were able to rock out with hundreds of really cool elementary and high school students. That same night Emii performed the National Anthem, and the next day we performed at the 10th Anniversary of Character Counts. Overall it was an exciting and enlightening experience and we can't wait to head back to IN to rock out once more, and also begin a national tour to promote and support Character Counts.
Here are a few backstage pictures of the event. Also, we'll be posting video and sound clips from the 101.5 Jersey Guys radio interview, as well as video clips and band interviews from the FYE shows and the trip to Indiana!

Note: We had a bit of a dilemna with MySpace and we seem to have lost a bunch of friends! Don't worry, we will re-add you guys as soon as we can and respond to everyone!
The show last night was a ton of fun. Dexter's is an AWESOME venue, seriously! Thanks to Rob Ryan at Max 106.3 and WNNJ 103.7 for havin' us! If you're ever in NJ then you have to check out Dexter's. The sound system, the sound guy, everything in relation to live music was top-notch. We were totally impressed!
Thanks to everyone who signed up for the mailing list and picked up t-shirts and CDs! We appreciate the support! I have to say, the turnout was less than we expected but we were surprised at how many people showed their support at our section of the merch table. You guys rock!
Here are a couple pictures from the show last night, and you can also check out more in our MySpace picture section! We'll also have some footage coming soon, which you don't want to miss (since Oleg backflipped off the stage and all).
More news coming soon!

Emii post:

Yes, we're weird. ;)
Everything is going great out here. We have some -huge- shows coming up. I'm not going to spoil the surprise but we have been working our butts off getting everything together.
It has been a nonstop effort and although I'm fairly exhausted from complete mental overexertion, I am seriously relieved to be working with such determined people.
Thank you to everyone who sent us messages about our last few performances. We were thankful to have raised money for Families First at Weona Park and I'm starting to see more and more people with our t-shirts (lol). You guys are awesome! We'll be posting a ton... and when I say a TON, I mean a TON... of tour dates soon.
I'm really looking forward to jumping back on stage in a couple weeks. It's difficult for me personally to wait that long for a show, but we're handling the business end of things and rehearsing like crazy... so I guess I can wait. And I'm excited. ;)
Anyways, hope all of you are doing great! Enjoy our goofy pictures and we'll see you all soon!
Keep rockin'. ;)

Emii guards the equipment...

...and prays that Oleg will not be crushed by the speaker. Ack!

The crazy factor goes up as Tom and Jason race down the hallway.

Poor Zhach seems to realize just how weird they all really are.

Success! They manage to set everything up, and then Underlying Urgency opens for the band with a few songs of AWESOMENESS.

Then Daydream on Autopilot rocks out!

Bangor, you rocked!!! We shall return with a vengeance!
Don't forget to come out to Weona Park at noon on June 28th to rock out with us again! We look forward to seeing you there!
