Alright... I'll do it.

You can now download the new Null Factor CD, "(in)finite", for only $2.00.  That is not a misprint... Two United States Dollars.  We're not talking about crappy-quality MP3 files, either.  We're talking UNCOMPRESSED, Stereo, 16-bit, 1411kbps, .WAV files.  Also wrapped in the package are full-sized JPEGS of the album art - inside and outside.  This is zipped up in a single ZIP file that is over 400MB, so be sure you have a fast connection.

To take advantage of this insane offer, go to:

THIS LINK

But, do it before May 9.  After May 9, it's gone.

Thank you for supporting Null Factor over the years!

What if Null Factor was going to release a new, full-length album on May 12, 2009?

What if you really like the available songs on the Null Factor profile music player from said upcoming album?

What if you were given the opportunity to download a digital version of the entire album in UNCOMPRESSED, WAV (stereo, 16-bit, 1411kbps) format with full-sized JPEGs of the album art - a file so awesome that it is over 400 MB in size... for only $2.00US?

What if the $2.00US deal would only be available for 3 days?

What if you sent me a message asking why I am asking all these silly "what if" questions?

Stay tuned...

Recording is wrapping up for the new album, (in)finite.  It is the goal to have the last track recorded, tonight!

Pre-mastering is also finished on all tracks, previously recorded.  That means that the finished master should be ready for duplication by the end of the week!

The release of (in)finite marks the 10-year anniversary of Null Factor.  A big "thank you" goes out to all who have supported Null Factor throughout the years.  You are the reason Null Factor is still around!

Stay tuned for pre-order information.  If you think you would be interested in pre-ordering, please leave a comment.  A COMMENT DOES NOT OBLIGATE YOU TO ACTUALLY PRE-ORDER.  This is just to determine interest in the album.

Best wishes,

+dan

This morning, I logged in to my Yahoo! Mail, as I do every morning.  One thing I enjoy when checking my Yahoo! Mail is to read today's headlines.  This morning's headline really was not that eye-catching, but the photo that complimented the story took the headline beyond news and into the ridiculously hilarious.  Following is the story and the cover photo:

I always suspected that the Pope had control over our economy.  Now, I have the PROOF!

A friend of mine wrote a very interesting blog about some realizations she has had, regarding Life In General.  That entry led me to some realizations of my own.  Sadly, I don't seem to have the same positive outlook on my realizations that she had.  My realizations are:

- It matters not WHAT you know.  It's WHO you know and who's behind you are willing to kiss to get what you want.  And I refuse to play that game.

- If you take pain killers for a medical condition, the world immediately labels you as a junkie.  I dare YOU to try living with chronic pain.  You will then realize that pain killers don't make you a junkie... they help you to barely function at a minimal level - which is an 100% improvement over what the alternative is - bed ridden.

- Our political leaders have failed us.  Not just the current administration, but the previous ones, as well, that ALLOWED us to be in the spot that we are in, currently.

- Kidney stones produce a pain that is worse than death.

- Out of the many, many friends I thought I had throughout life, I can count the REAL ones on one hand.  And I'm grateful for those few.  I only hope I'm as good of a friend to them as what they have been to me.

- The biggest realization I've come to is - it's perfectly fine to be displeased with the world around you.  That's the first step in the improvement process.

I have started writing music for a new side project that will be named I/O.

I/O will be a mix of straight forward rock mixed with a healthy helping of Industrial.  In other words, it'll be music to either dance by, or pump your fist in the air to... depending on you and your style.  It'll be perfect for both methods of music appreciation!

Musical inspiration for this project includes:  Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins, Starflyer 59, and various noises that I stumble across with my analog synth generators.

Stay tuned for links, and directions as to where to hear some music.  Of course, it'll take some time to record those tracks.  I'm hoping to have a finished song in the next week or two.  The musical ideas are flowing, so a lot more to come in later days!

As most of you know, I just signed a deal with Undying Records, a promising digital-release-only label out of Alabama.  Here we are, about a month into it, and through a chain of dramatic events, Undying Records is no more.

I wish Jeremy the best and harbor no hard feelings toward him, nor his label.  Here's to better days, ahead.

So, once again (and for now), [null factor] finds himself a free agent.

Hear that Interscope?  Hear that, Metropolis?  Alpha Matrix?  Some Bizarre?

Anybody?

I'm just a political-blogging-machine, lately, aren't I?

There are two groups of people that I could never trust. The News Media and Politicians. So, who does one side with when the News Media and Politicians are at odds?

The media is focusing on the racial aspect of the bickering between Obama and the Clinton Collective (otherwise known as The Borg). All you hear about on the news is race this and race that.

Wait a second. When asked a question about race, both The Borg and Obama say, "Well, we don't want race to play a part in this campaign."

So... which is it??? One evil entity is saying one thing and the other is saying another. Could they both be covering the truth (while making up an alternate truth)? Very likely, actually. It is the job of both, News Media and Politicians to sugar coat the truth and spin things in a way that the public wants to hear. If you're a Politician, the spin is, "what does the public want to hear from a potential leader?" The News Media spins it as, "what does the public want to hear that would be edgy, controversial, and potentially offensive?"

Sadly, the General Public is blind to the fact that you're being played by both sides. I've said it before and I'll say it again... and will probably repeat this in the future... THINK FOR YOURSELVES. Do NOT blindly believe the News Media. Do NOT blindly follow the Politicians. Seek facts. Look beyond the paint that's coating the rotting frame beneath. Above all, question EVERYTHING.

On the television, the infotainment program called, "ABC World News" featured an interview with a woman working as a beautician. She was African in decent. The quote related to the current presidential race made me literally jump off the couch and YELL at the television. The quote in question cannot be repeated verbatim, as I cannot recall the exact words. The idea of the quote is what fired me up. She wants to vote for Clinton, because Clinton is a woman. However, being African in decent, she also wants Obama to be elected, because he's black.

So, why did this fire me up? If you have to ask this question, then I hope you stay home on Election Day, simply because you don't DESERVE to vote.

The reason it fires me up is because who gives a rat's behind whether the candidate is a woman or black. THAT IS NOT WHAT MAKES A CANDIDATE WORTH VOTING FOR, PEOPLE!!! WAKE UP!!! Ask yourself, "Who can make the biggest positive impact on our hurting country?"

In case you're blind to it, we have economic issues, here. We have health care issues. We have immigration issues. We have foreign policy issues. WE HAVE MUCH MORE IMPORTANT ISSUES THAN RACE AND GENDER! If you're too blind to see this, then it's time for a major reality check!

Think long and hard, folks. This is our future. Do you want to vote for somebody because they're a certain race, or gender? Or do you want to vote for somebody who can actually do the best job for the country, in general?

As for me, I choose the person who can do the best job... regardless race or gender.

Think before you vote... please.
