Great food and drink, Off the Air Shows coming up this month, but I have ART on the walls of DEVA, all month, Jan 2, thru Jan 30, FOR SALE, and sold two paintings this morning. From $30 on up to $1000, to not for sale, award winners, old, new ones, 8 x 10 to 24 x 36 framed sizes.

I"m also up this month at All Knotted Up Wellness Center, K street, between 15th and Needham,

State Theatre Art Walk, Clayton's Art Walk, and still up for another week at Mistlin Gallery. Art Walk is Jan 21 this month.

Local Artists, there is an invitation out there to join our Artists of Modesto group in the Dec 5 Christmas Parade, thru downtown Modesto.  No Santa Suits, must have a light, be lit up, sober until afterwards, feel free to bring art, costumes ok, theme is Hollywood HOlidays for the parade but that means anything.

My showing at Fort Mason with Artspan's Open Studio ,marina district weekend, in San Francisco over my birthday weekend, with fellow Mod Crowd artists Penny Meyer, Sandy Lynn, Judith Cochrane and fifth artist Jennifer K Machado, known as Jen Eros on myspace, went pretty well, enough to do it again, and try and hook up with Myles O'Reilly on some new things as had dinner and breakfast at O'Reilly's on Green Street, and need to get over to McTeague's Saloon soon to visit. 

Currently, have two pieces up in the CAFE DEVA Family Partnership art auction benefit, through mid November, likely then some pieces for their low cost art show, all pieces under $100, then my show there in January. 

Art Walk is November 19 and December 17, or I have dates mixed up, at State Theatre, and Clayton's.

Currently have three pieces up in Peer Recovery Art Project group show at Red Steer Restaurant down on 11th Street, between Barkin Dog Grill where Derrick Ivey currently featured artist, and Fat Cat. 

Also have five pieces up at All Knotted Up Massage and Wellness center on K Street, where it meets Needham after 15th. 

I'll have a spot at the Handborn Show, downtown Modesto, which is held at DEVA, Concetta, Queen Mab's and State Theatre. November 28, Saturday after Thanksgiving.

I'm doing art demo at Farmer's Market November 14 or 21, and the Dicken's Faire, and Holiday Farmer's Market, Dec 5, 12, 19  Art for sale at all three dates.

Its the holiday season, so got to sell some art.

a reason, plus mafia wars on face book, I've not been on with art and poetry news lately, is mom had a heart attack three weeks ago, and today I'm finding out with follow up appt, what next, as I live in same house, so got to know the meds, etc.

We're showing at Fort Mason in San Francisco, all this weekend, beginning Friday night at 6 pm, thru Saturday all day, and Sunday to four p.m. October 16, 17, 18

I'll likely not make the free show in Copperopolis this Saturday, but will be doing the art director thing Friday, 10 am to 2 pm for the Arts and Advocacy show at 800 Scenic, Modesto, CA  rain or shine, at Behavioral Health. 

October 15 is Third Thursday Art Walk in downtown Modesto, and I will be hosting and on display at State Theatre.  See our venue also at Barkin Dog and www.peerrecoveryartproject.org for details on that, pick up a map and see all the art walk venues.  At State Theatre, will have me, Julie Hawkins, Nikki Boudrea, Athens Abell, Linda Kroll, Penny Meyer demo and Tara Tinsley as music guest.

October 16, 17, 18 I will be at Fort Mason for the Marina District Open Studio weekend with the "Mod Crowd" artists, Penny Meyer, Judith Cochran, Sandy Lynn and include Jennifer Machado on piano, and we're on the second floor.  Look for the signs.  Free reception October 16, 6 pm to 9 pm, we open 8am to 8 pm Saturday, happens to be my 55th birthday, Sunday 8 am to 4 pm.  originals on sale.

November will include Art Walk, November 19, again at State Theatre, Clayton's, et al. Also, Handborn event, downtown Modesto, November 28 6 to 10 pm. 

Also, November 14, art demo at downtown Modesto Farmer's Market.

Finsish off the year at Modesto Farmer's Market, for the Dicken's Faire and Winter Market during December on Saturdays, and at State Theatre for Art Walk.

We're also nominated for a MAMA award in best large event for Modesto Blues Festival, so look up and vote, at www.modestoview.com and Oct 21, awards show at State Theatre.

January, will have a month long show of my work at Cafe DEVA, near 12th and J street, downtown Modesto, so be at three places on art walk at once.

My show at Prospect Theater Project is extended at least thru this coming week's Second Wednesday event, Slam on Rye Poetry Slam.  530 Scenic Drive.  Free to see art, $5 to be in audience, $5 to slam.....

If I don't need the additional art for Modesto Art and Wine Festival modestoartandwine.com  as I'm masquerading as five artists, we were a bit short on sign ups but the art demos likely make up for it, but I get 10 x 20 spot now to fill.  And I will, be for sale, much of the old good ones I still have likely show up at this one, as I'm likely going to leave the Prospect Show up through end of September as invited to do. 

That's because I am scheduled to do a month long show at Cafe Deva in October.  For State Theatre Art Walk October 15, my friend Tara Tinsley will be music guest, for art walk closest to my 55th birthday, then to Fort Mason, for SF open studio show, with Penny Meyer, Sandy Lynn, Judith Cochrane, likely Kweenuvarts, with free preview Friday October 16, all day on my birthday saturday, and until 2pm, Sunday October 18.  We'll in one of the studio halls upstairs. 

Anyway, ran into my friend who collects frogs, has a number of my small frog paintings, and picked up two more this afternoon, that I painted for her to pick from, likely some more going her way next Thursday. 

No new poetry, the show at Prospect Theater Project went well, taking it down Thursday. The troubled Central California Art Association, got me as artist 21 in day before final extended deadline July 24, so I suspect hype on 100 artists, but cancer art group will also show, as also photo collective at Mistlin for their last show there.  They're broke, but I'm stuck for 9 hours, so come out, pay ten bucks to get in, wine tastings at 20 dollars, two sessions of them, acoustic music, and I have art for sale. 

Aug 20, next art walk, and modesto farmer's market may add artists in September.  I am working on a show at DEVA cafe in October, and over in bay area over my 55th birthday weekend, at Fort Mason, part of an open studio tour in SF, where group of modesto artists will show as well.  So, busy framing, mattes, and new paintings.  Back soon enough.

Kathleen Ennis emailed me this morning, and now I have a four week show up at Prospect Theater Project, and I hope tickets to one performance.
