Well, this is my FIRST EVER Official Blog on here.
Today is mine and Kevin's 2nd day homeless in Florida and things have been pretty AWESOME! :D
Let me start this blog journal from 2 days ago.

Sept 10th 09:
Hitting the road to begin our Homeless On The Road Tour '09

We had planned on hitting the road the night before to head to Nashville TN [yeah, that's where we planned to go first from the beginning] right after shooting a photoshoot with a friend of ours but by the time the shoot was over it was after 1am and we were both too drunk to drive:P
So we decided to sleep it off and head to Nash in the morning.

At around noon we got the car completely PACKED OUT!
The entire back seats and trunk full of all our shit.
Clothes, skateboards, exeCUTE shirts, camera, and other photo equipment.
We headed to the gas station and filled up the tank for $25 and then headed to McDonald's and got ourselves something to eat before hitting the road.
We ate inside and as we finished up and walked outside towards the car Kevin looked at me and said "Man I wish we were going somewhere farther than TN.  Like I wish we were going somewhere further away and more cool."
I had been thinking the same thing the whole time we were eating.
I said "yeah, me too." and we got into the car and sat there in silence for a moment and then I said "Wanna go to Florida?" and then we both smiled and said "Fuck yeah! Let's do it!".
We took a second to count the money we had and gave our friend Coreo a call.
"What's up dude?  Guess what? WE'RE COMING TO FLORIDA!!! RIGHT NOW! We JUST decided!"

Coreo:
"Nuh-uhh!"

HAHA

So we got onto the interstate and headed SOUTH!
The COMPLETE OPPOSITE direction we had even planned to drive.
Changing our 2 hour journey to Nashville into an 11 hour drive to Vero Beach FL.
Vero Beach is as far down south as Tampa FL but to the East of it about 3 hours.

So we're on the interstate headed towards the ATL direction and I'm driving and the car starts shaking out of control for like 5 seconds straight and me and Kevin are like "WTF!!!" and I look in the mirror as the car straightens back up and I see a huge chunk of tire fly behind me.
"I didn't see anything in front of me at all!! ? Like no tire treat, NOTHING!"
The car seemed to be driving fine again but Kevin said we should pull off the next exit and check out the tire so we pulled into the next closest gas station and got out of the car to check the tire and the passenger back tire was completely pealed back like a damn orange.
The outer tread layer of the tire had shreaded completely off the entire tire but somehow it was still holding air in the remaining layer of the tire.
We had only been on the road for about an hour and already had this happen to us.
It was kindda frustrating needless to say.
So we unload allll the shit out of the trunk of the car so we can get to the spare that Kevin luckily had.
Then we pull out the car jack and it's one of those retarted fucking Scissor jacks that take forever to crank up and are highly unsafe.
Just then this older black man pulled up beside us in a truck pulling a bunch of lawn equipment and as he got out of his truck he asked "you guys wanna use my jack? It's way better than that thing" and pulls out a nice, big durable jack to help us jack the car up with.
It was such a blessing for that man to have helped us the way he did.
He informed us that it must've been fate him pulling off onto that very exit and pulling up next to us because he was on his way home to ATL and only got off the interstate to fix a flapping sign on his truck.
We got the tire replaced in a quarter of the time it would have taken us without his help and we thanked him and told him "God Bless You!"
It was pretty awesome!

So then we get back onto the interstate and after about 7 hours of driving we finally reach it to the FLORIDA STATE LIMITS!

Everything was continuing to go good until we reached our FIRST... Toll Booth!

In order fo us to continue driving on the interstate, we had to pay these people $2.50!

Grudgingly, our broke asses paid the $2.50 toll and contunied further south into FL.

The gas light comes on and we have to pull off the interstae and put in $10 of gas.

As we pull out of the gas station and get back onto the interstate we are forced to pull up to ANOTHER TOLL BOOTH!!!!
To get back onto the interstate we have to pay a $.50 toll!
Not as bad as $2.50 but it's the principal that we are having to pay money, or basically throw it out the window [literally] just to get onto the fucking interstate!
So iritating and pointless!

So we continue our journey again..
driving, driving, driving

and more driving....

Then, what do we see before us?.. ANOTHER FUCKING TOLL BOOTH!
AND THIS TIME...IT's!!!... $4.90!!!
WTF!!!?
$7.90 that could have went into my gas tank went to my 'interstate tax'.
Then the gas light comes on again and we get another $15.

So $50 in gas and $7.90 on tolls.
BUT FINALLY :) We make it to Coreo's neighbor's house and they are all standing in the drivway waiting for us.
We crack open a much needed beer and eat a dry Ramen.

The first night here was awesome!
We thought for sure we'd be sleeping in the car at least for the first couple of nights but it's been two nights sleeping inside on comfy couches so far.

Yesterday we went to the beach and tried Skim Boarding for the first time ever.
There's videos of that up on myspace.
Here's one :D
