What is up everyone? I guess i just wanted to catch everyone up on what's been going on in the life of A Kid Named Thompson. Although we haven't been playing, it's been a pretty busy month for us.

The next thing we have coming up is an in-store performance at Best Buy here in San Antonio. I don't know much about the show other than we're playing with another band called Von Army. Apparently they're the offspring of Tejano superstar, Emilio. It should be fun. Come see us play in a different environment for free.

Right now, we're getting ready for the release of our split 7' with our good friends, Altus. The release features one completely new song from each of the bands. We got three different colors for the vinyl; Black, Transparent Red, and Light Blue. First 200 people to the split release show receive a free copy of the vinyl. The show is going to be at The Warhol on Saturday, May 9th. Our friends Montauk and Driver F will also be playing the show.

We're also in the middle of booking our summer tour. We'll be playing shows to Florida and up the east coast, then down through the Midwest. Keep checking our myspace for updated dates.

Hello friends and fans,

On Friday, December 12, A Kid Named Thompson will be shooting our first ever music video, and we want you to be a part! The video will be shot at 457 Bryn Mawr San Antonio, TX 78209.

The video takes place at a house party, so we need everyone to come prepared to have fun. Please wear the casual attire that you would normally wear to a party. Bright solid colors are a plus.

We will be performing the song several times and expecting attendees to participate when the director asks. Snacks and beverages of all types will be provided for the party and we will be giving away merch and prizes all night long.

We'll try to keep this music video as gimmick-free as possible and want everyone to have a good time; just like at any of our parties.

The shoot will start at 8:00 pm, but please arrive 30 minutes early.

Hello Everyone,

We're curently in our last day of recording here at Black Lodge Recording in Eudora, Kansas with Mr. David Chutka. All the staff and everyone we've met here have been the nicest people ever. All the songs are coming together just great. We should be finishing up in just a little while.

After we return tomorrow, the songs will be mixed by Mr. Ed Rose (The Get Up Kids, Limbeck, Motion City Soundtrack) here in Kansas. Once that happens, we'll be sending it off to The Blasting Room Studios in Fort Collins, Colorado for mastering. So hopefully soon, we'll be able to show you all the new songs.
