Hey guys,

Been a little quiet on the old Shields front recently? We've got good reasons, so bear with us... could be a interesting few months ahead....

So, we've uploaded two new tracks. 'Finding Albert' is actually about an asteroid, 'Albert 719', that was lost for 89 years before being rediscovered... it's ambiguous, but we like it... and God bless you, Bill Bryson!

'Clarity' is a bit more personal - and a bit faster too...

We really hope you like 'em, they're the first in a new batch of songs we're really pleased with, and hopefully won't be long in releasing to everyone...

Well, we've got some interesting news.... sifting through tracks for our forthcoming EP, we had some dilemmas with what tracks to keep and to sacrifice...written a lot of tracks that we're really pleased with since the EP plans were revealed... and so, we eventually came up with: screw it, let's just go for ten...

So we did. Our EP just became a full blown album.

Hence the delay in getting this boy out to you, but we really think it'll be worth it... it's an exciting project, and one that we feel really good about.

Our video for 'The Solution' is complete, and will be available on YouTube and Myspace in the next few days... we'll let you know....

Things continue well in the realm of Shields... our EP plans have a had a few minor hold-ups along the way, but all for the best of reasons - we're getting there, so stay tuned... we reckon it'll be worth the wait...

Heading down south to Newcastle on the 23rd of April for the final touches to our debut video for The Solution - by all accounts, it's looking great...

Well, a hectic week last week was capped off with our first video shoot, here in the back woods of the Scottish lowlands...

We were fortunate enough to get involved with some great media students at Sunderland University, and after having had a few conversations about the possibility of a music video project, we started filming this Saturday...

Found some awesome locations up in the hills and forests, came up with some really great ideas, and had a huge laugh along the way... so, with all the footage now in the can, there's a couple of weeks for editing - I think we'll head down to Sunderland for some 'green-screening' and final touches to the video, and then we can sync this baby up to the track - 'The Solution'....

Also played at the Ginglik in London for the second time on Wednesday - which we enjoyed immensely, as usual. Thanks to everyone who helped out and turned up...was a great night.
