When push comes to shove it’s about the songs. And being able to play the songs from The Beatles “White Album” is a lot of fun for me. But when people pack into a venue like Abuelitas to see me perform these songs it can be a bit intimidating if only because I hold such a high regard for this music. If you were at the show you know what I’m talking about, everybody was rocking, going crazy, dancing on chairs and all around me. It truly had a 60’s vibe of freedom and love for the music. I have to say it was the best show and the most fun I’ve had playing and the feedback I got was at times a bit overwhelming.
I must have done a good job but I give all the credit to the music of The Beatles and to all the fans who came to the show. I actually had some people tell me they never heard the White Album all the way through until that night and really enjoyed it. All I could say was buy the album, that’s the real deal!
