Hello all, we just wanted to let everyone know that Saturday August 15th at UP OR ON THE ROCKS in Hartford CT the four of the members from The Last Goodnight will be doing a show with their old band Renata for the first time in years.  If people don't know about Renata their songs are available on Itunes.  It's going to be a great night playing some old songs that are going to be hard to remember and even harder to play.  We hope we will see all of you, and hope you can make it for this special event!  Cheers

Thought I'd say hi to all of you fans out there....and just talk some B.S. with you for a while....

Tlg has been hard at work (although, definately not as hard as Leif after a show), trying to get this new album done....the goal is to get it out to you before we all die...hahaha

Jk, anyways, it will be out when the fate's allow...but maybe we should get a new track up here to give you something to look forward to....Are you all ready to hear Kurt rapping? haha..jk, kinda, ish...

Anyways, it's hot as hell here in LA and this is what the heat is doing to me (besides making me even more gorgeous).....

Our good friend Elliott Yamin has a new album in stores this week, and you should all go out and support the nicest guy in showbiz not to mention the album is kickass....aaaaaand, if you buy the album at "Target", then you get a bonus track co-written by yours truly...ME....Does the good outweigh the bad?

Also, for you Canadian fans out there...you MUST get The Midway State's album....it is AMAZING....trust me...I usually don't like music that I didn't make..but their album gets a thumbs up, or erection or whatever....its dope...and not just saying that cuz theyre good friends of ours...

As I drive North on the 101 through Los Angeles I turn my head for a glimpse of our ever so famous "Tower." That's right, the Capitol Records tower which rears it's legendary skull amongst the cities fine dust and vapored sky, home of catalogs such as The Beatles, Robbie Williams, Pink Floyd, Crowded House, and The Rolling Stones is waving it's hand at me as if I needed to stop by for some strange reason. Fuck, now I remember, I just received an email from my lawyer that my NOW 26 platinum plaque has arrived, is collecting dust, and needs to be picked up. At this point I'm already past the exit and say, "fuck it, I'll swing by next week when I'm not in a rush and traffic doesn't suck."

The new songs: Where do I begin. I'm so immersed in them it's hard for me to clearly describe them in a logical form. There's certainly an energy, an attitude, and rawness to the sound that wasn't there on the last record. Not so much heart failure and dear diary poetic justice as there is desire, opinion, and expression through many states of mind. The beats are aggressive, the guitars are loud, the keys and bass are on heroin, and the vocals are somewhere between Jack Nicholson and Michael Hutchinson. Nah...the vocals are just driving me fucking crazy...

Hellooooo out there..

So I know it's been a while since we've checked in, however after some brief down time, TLG has just arrived home from California where we answered the question, "Did you ever want to hang out with a Supermodel?" with a resounding yes.

TLG was invited to perform at a fashion show hosted by the magazine, "Supermodels Unlimited"

Although we were only out there for a few days, we had an absolute blast. Everyone from the magazine and the nightclub were incredibly hospitable to all of us. On drums, our new friend Dexter was once again with us for the second show in a row. Thanks for bailing us out yet again Dex... We even got to catch up with our old friend Elliott Yamin as well.

All in all a successful trip.. More to come soon.

Hey everybody!

It's Leif and I just want to say thank you to everyone who came out to Stern's Square in Springfield, MA this past thursday. We were invited to close out Springfield's annual concert series and (unofficially) I was informed that it was the most successful concert of the year.

For all of you who hung out with us afterwards... well... you were there.. We had a blast.... stay tuned for some crazy pictures..

A couple people to thank...

Mike Barasso and Jeff Keck.. the two guys who crossed all the t's and dotted all the lower cased j's so that TLG could play the event.

Brian Knight from Sam Adams for helping us with our hospitality..

The good people working at The Alumni Club, Fat Cat's, and Virtuoso... You took great care of all of us... feel free to bill all damages resulting from us to the city of Springfield.

and last but not least... if you were at the show you may have noticed a slightly different lineup.. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, Skeeter was unable to perform that night. His good friend Dexter volunteered to play.. and with only one rehearsal under his belt, absolutely killed it at the show.. Huge thanks go out to him. Without his help, the show would not have gone on...

So that's it... The Last Goodnight is going to spend this next month or so writing for our next album... Stay tuned and as always, we're answering questions over on PoisonKiss.net... Come check us out...
