No, I'm not talking about the book. It's actually been pretty good. I'm talking about the story in general, particularly the 2004 movie.

I just watched the movie for the first time yesterday (I know, I'm lame). I loved it. It made me cry but I loved it. I watched it again today (stfu) and I liked it still, but it also made me mad cuz I started thinkin. . .

I think Christine made the wrong choice. What's so great about Raoul? He's just a pretty face, and kinda stupid. The phantom (his name's Erik, btw) was super hot. I'm sorry, but I don't care that his face is deformed, he's still one fine mofo. Actually, I'd even say he's hotter than Raoul. He's smarter too. And he can sing. And he needs a hug. And he dresses like a pimp. Ok, so kidnapping a girl is not the best way to win her heart, but you know what? I think Christine loved them both. She could have very easily picked the other guy.  Some people might say that that's too fairytale, but I like a good fairytale every once in a while.

I feel bad for him, in the movie it looks like he ends up kickin it in his underground lair by himself for the rest of his life.  And I'm not telling you about the book cuz chances are good that if you're reading this you're part of the book club.

It's ok Erik, I'll be your valentine.

Btw, wouldn't it be kickass if Tim Burton made his own version of Phantom of the Opera?
