Howell, MI: Bled Fest 2009 has announced Metal Blade Record’s Whitechapel as the headliner for the May 23^rd music festival to be held at the Howell Performing Arts Center in Howell, MI. 

Nashville, TN’s Whitechapel has proved to be one of the busiest bands in heavy metal, touring heavily on their 2008 CD release ‘This is Exile’ and featured on last summer’s Summer Slaughter tour.  This year’s Bled Fest will jump start Whitechapel’s summer tour season, preparing them for an 11-city European stint in early June, followed by their biggest tour to date, opening the Rockstar Mayhem Fest for Slayer, Killswitch Engage and some of the biggest acts in hard rock and heavy metal.

Bled Fest continues the tradition of bringing fans together to celebrate music from all genres by bringing Amber Pacific, A Plea for Purging, Brother Von Doom, Salt the Wound, Houston Calls, local favorites La Dispute, And Hell Followed With, I Decay and 50 more bands to round out the Bled Fest experience.  The complete lineup can be found at www.myspace.com/bledfest .
