Winter was tough on us. Due to numerous factors, the economy and the weather being the two biggest, sales were down considerably. We had a nice spike during our month and a half long christmas donation drive for needy kids and look forward to the new riding season that is quickly coming upon us.

The donation drive was a semi success. It consisted of a four part plan: 1: a drive to provide food and clothing to needy families in the immediate area of our store. (Fail) 2: an angel tree to provide a christmas to the children in our area. Families were urged to choose a needy child or childrens name off our tree and purchase presents for the holiday. 25 children on the tree, 20 were "adopted" out. (Success) 3: A visit from Santa Claus on Dec 15th. This was a fundraiser for BACA, Bikers Against Child Abuse. Most of this event was possible by donations from various businesses, Lil Debbie Snack Cakes, 7-11, Red Baron Furniture, Holsom Bakeries, Sandstone Sandwich Shop, Target Corporation,Williamsport Diner. We raised 368.00 dollars for BACA and hosted to about 40 children. (Success) 4: Our raffle. A-1 computers of Martinsburg WV donated a brand new P3 Computer to be raffled off along with WWE Smackdown/ECW tickets to an event the following week in Hershey PA (donated by Vince McMahon), a Game Cube video system and 2 Bratz dolls, donated by a loyal customer. Congratulations to all our winners.

The drive culminated when our beloved owner dressed as Santa on the 22nd and delivered presents to all the kids from our angel tree. The looks and reactions from these kids were priceless and will forever be in our memories.

We would like to thank all that volunteered for the event including but not limited to, (had to throw the legal phrase in there, I thought it sounded cool) Bill at the Reptile Crib, Bridget and Carrie at Magic Mender in Martinsburg, Eric and Mike from Williamsport Diner (the cookies were a hit), Bill at Red Baron Furniture, my daughter, my son and my daughter-in law and many others.

Also, thank you Stonewall for bringing santa to us, Diesel for allowing us the opportunity to work with BACA, all the members of WV chapter BACA and the members of Frederick MD chapter that showed up and made this a fun event. (Highway, the shirts are done and should be available in our store soon.)

..

We look forward to doing it again this upcoming holiday season.

Ride Free.

We are planning Williamsport MD’s first, hopefully annual, Bike Night on July 19th. Featuring live music, vendors, street performers, and bikes, bikes, bikes. The town commission has not voted on whether they are going to let us do the event yet but other than the fact that they are sitting on their hands at this point, we do not see any problem with getting the event passed. We were originally told to start planning and then we are told that they need more time to decide. Politics.. (burp). We will keep you posted on the details as they become available.
