Current mood:  breezy

So, here we are in Cincinnati hanging out by the Ohio River…a tributary of the Mississippi River (in case you were wondering). Cornerstone is over, and I am relieved and sad at the same time. It was fun (until the rain began), yet tiring. There was so much build up before the band actually went to Illinois, and then it felt like the week went by in a flash. We played and lifted and loaded and lifted and played and so on. I know that everyone’s backs were in need of a break from the weeklong pandemonium. Although, utter chaos is only one way to describe Cornerstone, it was also fascinating to meet people from all over North America (we gave a ride to a group of friendly Canadians). It’s cool to watch people get excited about the same bands. Music is distinctive in the way that it can bring people together that in other situations, might not have anything else in common. Indianapolis was our first post-Cornerstone destination, where we greatly appreciated the hospitality of a family from that highly underrated city. Now we’re in Ohio, and the band is playing soccer in the park by the river. We find it essential to work on our soccer skills in case we ever meet another band that challenges us to a match, although I know I’m the weakest link. It’s always important to be prepared….

So......we were chosen as one of the top 16 bands to play the New Band Showcase at Cornerstone in Illinios!  I know tons of people who were voting for us, and even though things looked dim (we were sitting at 58th), we still made out.  We were one of the six chosen by the Cornerstone reps.  We just wanted to let everyone know how much we appreciate your efforts on our behalf.  I think this line from one of the best songs ever  really sums it up.  "We thank good men, good fortune, and the God who watches over them."  What a great line.  Thanks again you guys!!

Vote for Quiet Science on cornerstonefestival.com to play the main stage. It's a huge ordeal to get logged in for the first time, I know, but you can vote every day until May 25th. Once logged in click on Play Cornerstone in the top right corner. You can find us under the New Band Showcase. Scroll down, click on the Listen and Vote link, and find us in the sea of hardcore. Bangarang!

Hey everyone!

We just wanted to let you all know that Quiet Science is currently in the studio doing a bit of recording. Only one song for the moment, but more to come later. ha. Not much else to say. The track we chose to do might be a bit familiar already from our live performances, its called "Brilliant."

cheers,
Rob.

Also, we will be at the Murray Hill Theatre in Jacksonville on July 12th. We'll be giving out a 2 song sample of the last Denver Mile album "I Hope I Shall Arrive Soon." All you have to do is ask. See you there. Nathan

Iteration- 1. The process of repeating a set of instructions a specified number of times or until a specific result is achieved.
2. One cycle of a set of instructions to be repeated: After ten iterations, the program exited the loop.

Sometimes I feel like A Denver Mile is the loop. We travel around a designated track, losing and then picking up replacement pieces as we travel. Each new piece we pick up changes the anatomy of the band. Sometimes these changes are only recognized by those who dwell within, while in other instances the changes can be very obvious to all who are near. I am sure many of you will notice the differences between "Dust and Mice" and our new album "I Hope I Shall Arrive Soon." As we push forward, our sound will continue to change and grow as we do. While this sound may be consistent with "I Hope..", it may alienate those who define our sound by "Dust and Mice." We hope that you guys enjoy the new album, and we want you to know that we will continue to play ADM songs in our set. Let's face it, we love those songs. We are just a different band now. Too much has changed over the years for us to pretend that we are the same. We love you guys and hope that you will come with us as we exit this loop and wind through the stars on our new rocket ship, "Quiet Science"

Hello everyone. Welcome, to new and old friends. We are currently recording demos at my house. Sorry for the absence of music. It will be up soon, promise! I stress the fact that they are demos though.

Live performances are in the works too. We have some wonderful plans for that side of this band. When you get the chance to see it, you will know. Shows will start, hopefully, late april or early may.

Other than that, thank you for being interested. Be a loyal friend, and we will be a loyal band in return.

Hope to see you soon at a show.
Rob.
