Current mood:  optimistic
For anyone interested........

1: Luva Anna are about to start work on their new as yet untitled album. It will be off the kilter scale! Also, check out the sampler mix of rehearsals and new songs. (Its the first song on our player!) Feedback welcome!!!!

2: We have been super lazy of late, but can assure you that this is what it takes to create the masterpiece that we are about to pull out of our collective arses.....

3: We are playing Letham Nights on the 28th of November, with a view to debut some new bengin tunes. Mon yous!

4: The fireworks night was a total hoot, so cheers to everyone who froze their beanbags off watching three quarters of 'Anna at Baxter Park.

5: Check out the live version of 'The Pigeon' on our player. It was recorded live at the mill, cabaret voltaire in Edinburgh back in the summer....

So thats it.

Watch this (my)space for new tunes, photos and perhaps a complete overhaul of the look of our page. You never know, thats maybe what we need too. Suits and haircuts. I've already shaved my back in preparation. Just yous wait........

See ye in Fife?! and perhaps the Doghouse before Santa unloads the contents of his sack.....

We have been quiet of late due to...well, laziness, and for this we apologise. We have been working on some new material of late and genius takes time, unless you're Drewboy, in which case, genius is like every fluid movement you make, or every conceivable idea you have!

Please check our giglistings for new shows the soonest of which is this friday, as part of the perth music festival. Lineup for this is very exciting and the fee is nominal and represents extra value!

Confirmed to play King Tuts again on the 23rd July with the amazing Brother Louis Collective, which is a gig not to be missed. We have tickets to sell for this show but need to sell for the full price of £5 so as to make a little money to feed Dave's now mammoth cheese string habit! So please get in touch, and if anything, you could save on a booking fee.

Wickerman, of course, will be a treat, and remains one of the highlights of last summer, so if youre not coming go buy a ticket and join us on the saturday where we will headline the solus tent!! Whoop!

Other summer highlights  Tayport Festival, Wizard Festival, Harleys in Bathgate (yes, thats right you crazy people of bathgate we finally got a gig sorted!) and then what will possibly be our final doghouse gig EVER before ***unnamed business men knock the building down to make way for some stupid monument/tower to accompany their stupid casino***

Hello All,
recording is finished on a brand new tune and it is currently being mixed but by all accounts it's a piece of fairly epic tuneage. We have yet to decide on the best way to extort your money in exchange for the tune. We figure we are gonna go in entirely the opposite direction of the economic status quo and rob fuck out of you in exhange for one song. Fuck the credit crunch, thats what we say!!
Anyhoo, we have now confirmed a short run of headline shows in top notch venues around scotland and we would like to invite you to come. All the shows are free (this is a lie) and we will be giving out free stuff (this is also a lie) so would like all of you to come and witness some new songs (this is NOT a lie)
Tickets for all shows can be bought in advance and the links are below

Hi everyone,

We hope everyone is splendid in this magical festive period. We are all gearing up to spend christmas with our families while robbie sits alone in his room warming his nuts for the youngsters. It's not a pretty sight and you'd be best giving him a wide berth if he invites you around his house for a visit.

We have added our Christmas Message to our myspace player so feel free to listen and download it. Its not very long but tells you what we think of christmas. There is a longer version, but we being lazy, have yet to record it. For anyone who has added us to their friends list within the past year, this is a new song! For anyone on our friends list longer than a year, please forget that we had this on our myspace last year, and are thus, cheating bastards for putting it up again.

This has one of the best years for Luva Anna and one of the worst at the same time. We have played loads of gigs and festivals, released another ep, sessioned on radio 1, welcomed new members into our family - Oscar (how anyone so cute came from Dave and Amy I don't know!!!) - so we would like to thank everyone for all their support. We have also experienced some hard times resulting in a 2month break from doing anything with each other which, I guess, has shown how much the band means to everyone.

We are working on new material and will probably not be gigging for a while but never fear we shall return. Keep checking the myspace for snippets of demo'd tunes and some videos as we now have a youtube channel. This may entail videos of Robbie dancing naked to Fangs but it's still worth watching!

Merry fucking christmas

Lets all show some sexy, mucky love to 'The Scotsman' for choosing 'The Ballad of Boaby Smith' to be their track of the month. The Scotsman has been at the very heart of the music industry for years and with earnest decisions like this, it's easy to see why.

The Scotsman Track of the Month

So get out that kinky Mrs Santa outfit, attatch that seedy stick-on santa beard, cover your genitals in mistletoe, and get reading the Scotsman!

Hi everyone,

things have been a little quiet on the Luva Anna front for the past month or so. Whatever you've heard - IT WASN'T TRUE!!! Robbie has an allibi and the police no longer want to speak to him.

After a much needed break after a very hectic summer, the band feel a break is in order to work on some new material and freshen up the live set. Probably won't see us out gigging until Feb next year but in the mean time...

If you happen to have a television tune into 4 Music on Thursday or E4 on Sunday @ 12.40pm and watch Orange Unsigned act as we were chosen from over 7,500 bands to take part in the final 54 of the competition. This was very exciting and we had to wash Robbie and straighten Drewboys hair to appear on television as the producers of the show said they were morally insulted by both band members appearance. Dave even manages to keep his clothes on, which was a worry because he likes nothing more than to get naked in front of a roomfull of strangers and Billy...well Billy is the rugged hunk who wins over all with his manly ways and beating of the chest.

http://orangeunsignedact.co.uk/

Watch the show and let us know what you think.

Anyone want to guess which song we played...?
