I AM FREE

I will always love you Les and will miss you dearly!
Your big sister,
~Jenn

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free
I'm following the path God laid for me
I took His hand when I heard Him call
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day, to laugh,
to love, to work or play.
Tasks undone must stay that way
I've found that peace at the close of the day.

If parting has left a void, then fill it
with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah, yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much
Good friends, good times,
a loved one's touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all to brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and share with me,

God wants me now, He set me free

I am forwarding this from my good friend Pete Vallee aka Big Elvis in Las Vegas... ~Jenn

A Star for Elvis

"This would be the ultimate tribute that Las Vegas could bestow on the man named "The Entertainer of the Century" in 2000."

The "Viva Las Vegas!" fan club has stepped up to sponsor this star.  Read their nomination here.  This has been confirmed by the LVWOS committee; we have only a short time to raise the sponsorship fee of $15,000. We need your help to reach this goal.

Please check out my friend's 'A Star for Elvis' MySpace page to see how you can help!

Thank you, and have a Elvisly Great day!
Your Friend,

Big Elvis

Baby Trevor James, my 1st grand child, born 16Jul2007, 6:44am, was air lifted to Rochester hospital for extensive testing last night.

Right now they are most worried about his lungs and his inability to breath on his own.. this only started after he took in (his first feeding) food around 3:45 am, Tuesday morning... He was fine all day long on Monday. After taking Echo-cardiograms of his heart, sonograms of his kidneys and xrays of his lungs they say there is no dire emergency that they can see at this time. But still he was air lifted by the neo-natal unit because his health was deteriating and they wanted to do this before he became critical.

Thanks for your prayers,

Jenn

This is great. It will make your day!
The ending will surprise you.

Take my Son

A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art.

When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.

About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands.

He said, "Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly. He often talked about you, and your love for art." The young man held out this package. "I know this isn't much. I'm not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this."

The father opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture. "Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It's a gift."

The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected.

The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his paintings. Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection.

On the platform sat the painting of the son. The auctioneer pounded his gavel. "We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?"

There was silence.

Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, "We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one."

But the auctioneer persisted. "Will somebody bid for this painting. Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?"

Another voice angrily. "We didn't come to see this painting. We came to see the Van Goghs, the Rembrandts. Get on with the real bids!"

But still the auctioneer continued. "The son! The son! Who'll take the son?"

Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. "I'll give $10 for the painting." Being a poor man, it was all he could afford.

"We have $10, who will bid $20?"

"Give it to him for $10. Let's see the masters."

"$10 is the bid, won't someone bid $20?"

The crowd was becoming angry. They didn't want the picture of the son.

They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections.

The auctioneer pounded the gavel. "Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!"

A man sitting on the second row shouted, "Now let's get on with the collection!"

The auctioneer laid down his gavel. "I'm sorry, the auction is over."

"What about the paintings?"

I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will. I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings.

The man who took the son gets everything!"

God gave His son 2,000 years ago to die on the cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is:

"The son, the son, who'll take the son?"

Because, you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything.

FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, WHO SO EVER BELIEVETH IN HIM, SHALL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE...THAT'S LOVE

God Bless,
~Jenn

We've all seen the warnings against putting your water bottle in the freezer  and the warnings against using plastics in the Microwave and the dishwasher. E-mails have been circulating for years that the Mayo Clinic warns us not to do these things.

The following warning explains why we shouldn't. This isn't just for babies, we all can learn from this message.

The reasons here are exactly why I make everything we eat from scratch. Barely will I ever use canned goods. I prefer fresh or frozen fresh produce for my family.

To your good health,
~Jenn

[ ] WARNING ABOUT BPA IN BABY FOODS

The Environmental Working Group, a watchdog group working on issues such as chemicals in food and consumer products, earlier this year analyzed samples of canned fruit, vegetables, soda, and baby formula on sale in the nation's supermarkets. They found that more than 50% were tainted with a chemical linked to birth defects, ADHD and cancer. The chemical, bisphenol A (BPA), is an ingredient in plastics that lines food cans. According to the study, the chemical has been leaching into foods at levels up to 200 times the government's recommended "safe" level of exposure. According to Dr. Frederick vom Saal, a professor of biology at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a long-time expert researcher of BPA, there are 94 scientific studies indicating deleterious health effects from BPA. "If BPA was treated as a drug, it would have been pulled immediately. This chemical can be replaced right now by safer materials, and the public would never notice the difference."

How to avoid BPA:
---------------------------

  • Metal canned pasta and soups contain the highest levels.
  • Metal canned beverages appear to contain less BPA residues.
  • Canned foods in glass containers are not a BPA risk.
  • Plastics with the recycling labels #1, #2 and #4 on the bottom are safer choices and do not contain BPA.
  • One-third of liquid baby formulas have high levels of BPA.
  • Powdered formula packaging is generally considered safer.
  • Avoid heating foods in plastic containers and do not wash plastic containers in a dishwasher.
  • When possible, opt for glass, porcelain and stainless steel containers, particularly for hot food or liquids.
  • Do not let plastic wrap touch your food in the microwave, or better yet, avoid microwave ovens altogether.
  • Many metal water bottles are lined with a plastic coating that contains BPA.
  • Look for stainless steel bottles, such as those sold by Real Wear and Klean Kanteen that do not have a plastic liner.
    • I did not happen to find any Real Wear water bottles on line, but you can get Klean Kanteen at www.kleankanteen.com.

This message is for all you believers on myspace and anyone else who professes to be a Christian.  I say these things with the utmost sincerity and love to all you people.

So take a look at everything you have on your profile, and ask yourself that question.  What if He did?  What if Jesus were to look at your profile?  What would He find?  Would He be shocked?  Outraged?  Pleased?  Would He be glorified through it?

The truth is, Jesus Christ would be utterly appalled at the worldliness and carnality of the pages of so many people here in myspace that claim to know and love Him.  And you know what?  He is.  He has already seen your profile; in fact, He knows everything you've ever done since you were born, and everything you will do until you die.  He's seen every sin done in secret, and knows exactly where you stand with Him.

Again, I say these things not to condemn you, but because I love you and know God loves you and wants you to get right with Him.  He wants you to love, serve, and obey Him, and give Him all the glory.

So take a moment to let the light of Christ shine on your myspace to expose every evil thing.

1. FILTHY LANGUAGE
Ephesians 4:29:  "Let not any filthy word go out of your mouth, but if any is good to building up in respect of need, that it may give grace to the ones hearing."

Does any filthy language come out of your mouth (or your keyboard for that matter)?

The 3rd commandment is, "You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain."
Do you disregard God or Jesus Christ's name so much that you would bring it down to the level of a filth word to express disgust?  The Bible makes it clear this is a SERIOUS sin.  Every time you do this you show your lack of respect and fear to the very God who gave you life.

2. CLOTHING
Romans 12:2 says that you shouldn't be conformed to this world.  Do you try to be like the world or like Christ?  Look at all the pictures you post, especially you, ladies.  1 Timothy 2:9 says that women should dress MODESTLY.  Just because every other girl dresses with short skirts and skimpy outfits showing a lot of cleavage doesn't mean you should too.  As Christians we are called to be different, set apart, HOLY.   And in Romans 14 it says that if we cause someone else to stumble, we have sinned.  Think of all the people you have caused to fall into sin.  And not just non-believers, I'm talking about CHRISTIANS as well.  Do you get picture comments like "Youre hot!" or worse?   Well, congratulations--you've caused someone to lust after you. Jesus said that if you look with lust, you've committed adultery in your heart, and the Bible makes it clear that no adulterers will enter heaven.  Does it concern you that you might have caused someone to slide further into hell because of your lack of discretion?
Furthermore, the Bible makes it clear we should be giving God ALONE all the glory.  People should be able to look at us and see Jesus.  When you show a lot of skin, or when you adorn yourself with much jewelry, or flashy and fancy clothing, who are you showing off, Christ or yourself?  Something to think about.

3. DRINKING
Or what about drinking?  The Bible says that all things (that are not sin) are lawful, but not all things are helpful (1 Cor. 6:12).  The Bible doesn't condemn drinking, just drunkardness.  But again, if you use the liberty you have in Christ to cause someone to stumble, you have sinned.  Think about how pictures with you holding beer cans have DAMAGED your testimony as a Christian, and have caused others to sin.  You claim to be a Christian.  People are looking at you, looking up to you, examining your every move. You're giving non-believers an excuse to keep living the way they do.  They're going to look at you and say, "Christians act like that?"  Drunkards are going to use you as an excuse to remain drunkards, and others will be turned off from Jesus because of your attitude.  Dont give them a cause to blaspheme the name of Christ, or to use your poor choices to try to justify their own sinfulness.

4. LOVE OF MONEY
Matthew 6:24 says that you can't serve both God and money.  You will either "hate the one and love the other," or "hold to the one and despise the other."  Do you love money?  Do you desire riches?  Jesus told us not to lay up for ourselves treasures on earth, but in heaven (Matt 6:19-20).

James 4:4:  "Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever desires to be a friend of the world is the enemy of God."

Anything else that is against the Bible or trying to imitate the world is wrong, and you need to get rid of it from your profile.  Violence, vanity, theft, pride, selfishness, arrogance, sexual depravity, filthiness, etc.  If you care enough about God and others, you will heed to His words.

Now please take what you just learned and apply it not only to your myspace, but to your personal life as well.  If you have truly been saved, born again, redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus on the cross, you know that God is always there, beholding all the good and evil you do.  Were not perfect, and we sometimes fall to sin, but we do have to aim for perfection.  We have the Holy Spirit guiding us, and every day making us more holy.  So we are left without an excuse.

So whenever youre tempted to act like the world, remember that Jesus is there watching you.  Whenever you're watching a TV show or movie that contains violence, blood and gore, nudity, sex, homosexuality, witchcraft, horror, or any other form of wickedness, remember that Jesus is right there with you.  Whenever you want to listen to secular music that doesnt bring Him any glory, Hes there listening to it with you.  Think about it--you love to watch and listen to these things because they're entertaining.  But they're not glorifying God, and they are actually harming you.  Theyre not bringing you closer to your Creator, theyre taking your mind away from Him, and they inject demonic filth into your mind.  It's like eating poison.

Psalm 101:3 says, "I will set no wicked thing before my eyes. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me."

And Philippians 4:8 says, "Finally, my brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are right, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think on these things."

There you have it, clear commands from the Lord.  Do not waste your time with this nonsense; fill your mind with what is good, and pure, and holy.  The closer you get to the Lord--the more you fall in love with Him, the more joy you have in Him--the less entertainment you will need.  And the only way to do this is by reading the Word, obeying Him, and seeking Him in prayer.  We need to live radical, holy lives for Christ.

"And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light."
Ephesians 5:11-13

You have been called to be like Christ.  If everything I said just sounded completely whack to you and you have no intention of changing, you have to examine your own salvation, because it is VERY likely that you are not saved.  Please go to www.examineyourself.com.  This is so important, your eternal salvation is at stake.  God doesn't want you to go to hell, and neither do I.

"If we say that we have fellowship with Him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth."
1 John 1:6

"Do not love the world, nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him, because all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world."
1 John 2:15-16

May the God of peace be with you all, and change you daily into holy men and women for Him.  God bless you and keep you.

I seen this poem on a friend's site by Sally Meyer, and felt a need to post it  here!

You see, I'm a PT school bus driver and on Friday, after dropping off a bus load of kids at the college play in New Ulm, MN (yes on the campus where they had the bomb threat while we were there... http://www.mankatofreepress.com/local/local_story_110182313.html), I went to McDonalds with other bus drivers. We seen a little boy in which the other drivers said was spoiled and needed some 'old fashion additude adjustments'.

That started my day off wrong as the stresses of the day before was still giving me a headache. I ripped into these bus drivers.. telling them not to judge other people... that maybe next time they should pray for the Mom, instead of judging her or the child. It is not easy being a parent of a child with behavioral problems! Each child that has ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) is different than the next. There are no two children with ASD with the exact same symptoms.

And my little Tommy can't control his outburst any easier than those drivers can control their poor eating habits! Actually, I think it's easier to control eating habits even while dealing with stress, than it is possible for an ASD child to deal with their disorder. To me stress can be very overwhelming! To Tommy, walking into McDonalds can become overwhelming if there is a lot of activity. To Tommy, a change in routine can be overwhelming. To Tommy, transitions are the hardest thing in the world to handle!

Believe me after this past week..which is very much like some of the poem below, I feel a little prayer would go a long, long way! I need alot more than a little right now though.

I pray all is well with you and yours.. God Bless!

I WAS LIKE YOU.......ONCE

If you see me at the supermarket, and my child is screaming, rolling on the floor with anger seeping from his pores. please don't blame me, I was like you once,

If you are in a restaurant and my child throws food and it hits you in the face, please, don't be angry, I can't handle any more rage.

If you see my child climbing over a very tall fence with nothing on except his hat. Please don't call the police, I only looked away for a minute.

If you see me crying, as you pull up next to me at a stop light, at a busy intersection. Honk and smile, I need a friend.

If you see me, running down the street with curlers in my hair chasing a small child who runs so fast, I can't catch him HELP me chase him down.

If my child grabs your child, or pushes him or bites or kicks him, or says words that make your hair curl. Please forgive him, and me too.

If you happen to see us, walking in your neighborhood, or in the malls, or at the park Please don't turn away, I was like you once.

Thimerosal is a mercury-based preservative developed by Eli Lilly back in the 1930 and has been used in as many as 50 vaccines. In the Federal Register 1982, an expert panel at FDA reviewed Thimerosal and found it toxic, caused cell death and called for its removal in over the counter products.

In 1999, the FDA stated that mercury exposure from vaccines exceeded Federal Safety Guidelines. Government officials admitted they were "asleep at the switch" when they failed to add up the cumulative exposure levels when new vaccines were added to the early infant vaccination schedule in the early1990's.

The rate of autism a decade ago was 1 in 10,000. CDC research indicates that 1 in 150 children are autistic today

The dramatic rise in autism rates correlates with the increase in mercury doses. Thimerosal was first marketed in the mid 1930's and autism was first described as a new never before seen disorder in 1943, in children born in the 1930's.

Neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism have similar symptoms to those of mercury poisoning.

Thousands of families have reported their normally-developing children changed after receiving mercury containing vaccines and began displaying symptoms that lead to a diagnosis of autism. The symptoms of autism not only mimic those of mercury poisoning, but children with autism have been found to have 500% the amount of mercury in their bodies compared to typically-developing children.

In March, 2001, the FDA issued a statement warning pregnant women and young children not to eat fish containing high levels of mercury for fear of causing neurological problems in children. Yet, the CDC's National Immunization Program has continued to allow these same sensitive populations to be exposed to mercury from routinely administered flu shots which contain more mercury than seafood.

EPA recently closed down schools when it was discovered that air mercury levels were at 30mcg/m. (EPA's action level in the air is 1mcg/m) Yet infants injected with multiple mercury containing vaccines  received up to 187 mcg the first 6 months of life. A typical dose received by a 2 month old who received 3 mercury vaccines was 125 times EPA's daily allowable exposure levels.

In 2001, the Institute of Medicine (IOM) stated it is "biologically plausible" that ethyl mercury Thimerosal in vaccines caused neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism.

What does this tell you? These facts are scary!
