the single will be released on Monday October 5, but we dropped some 7"-es into Rough Trade earlier last week. if you'd like to be ahead of the curve, you can get it here plus a free digital download.

Rough Trade East are also exclusively stocking our new t-shirt to coincide with the release. you cannot get this from anywhere else! also thanks to everyone that came down to the Rough Trade instore last week, such fun!!

Dear Friends,

If you've been wondering where we've been hiding for the last couple of months, well we were sent deep into the Welsh mountains. While there we decided to eat a lot of chocolate and also, hey, record our debut album with
Bat for Lashes producer David Kosten, which is due out in early 2010.

Luckily you don't have to wait till then to hear what we've been working on as we're releasing a double-A-side single of two tracks: Isabella and Long Walk Home. It's out on the 5th of October on limited edition 7” vinyl and digital download. If you'd like to have a listen, they are both up on our myspace.

We're excited to announce that we're celebrating the release with an instore performance at London's Rough Trade East on the 23rd of September as well as releasing a limited edition t-shirt – exclusively available at the Rough Trade shop.

And being the geeks that we are, we're all over the world wide web, so you can get all up in our web shizz through our
Blog, Flickr, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube Channel. No excuses for not knowing our every movements.

Lots of love and hope to see you at the Rough Trade instore!

dear friends,

hope you have been keeping well! since we last wrote not much has changed. we continue to be busy busy busy - rehearsing, playing shows, attending meetings, seeking out the best coffee in london (ginger and white in hampstead if you're keen), cooking up mexican fiestas and just generally hanging out.

we're pretty excited to offer up two slices from the album pie, Isabella and Long Walk Home. recorded with the wonderful David Kosten (the producer behind both Bat for Lashes records), it's to be released as a limited edition double- A side 7" on October 5th. you can listen to them here on the old myspace and see what Big Stereo had to say about it over here.

oh and if you're missing our faces, check out some live and backstage snaps from our cargo show on our flickr.

we've got two shows this weekend:
Saturday August 29th: BE at Proud Galleries, Camden.
Sunday August 30th: Back Yard Recordings night at The Old Blue Last, Old Street.

come along if you're in the mood.

Hello hello,
We have news, good news!  We've almost wrapped up the recording of the album! just a couple more things to check off the list, but in the mean time we thought that since we've been in London for over two months now, it was about time that we spent some quality time together. We'll be playing our first show for at Cargo on Friday August 7. It's totally FREE and DFA's Tim Sweeney will be djing. as in the host of legendary NYC radio show Beats in Space. Wau! Also playing live are London based duo Subway and dj Stopmakingme. We've heard good things about these guys as well, so even if we weren't playing this sounds like a lineup that we would totally be interested in. And it's FREE. So you can spend that money on a relaxing beverage instead. Amazing plan, no?
Doors are from 6pm. More info is here.
See your lovely face there!

Lovers and friends,

It's with teary eyes and bittersweet smiles that we wave goodbye to our Australian friends and take the band to it's new temporary home - London.

We're going to be so sad to part with our dearest family and friends, and miss out on breakfasts at Sophia's in Erskinville...dumplings at Burlington centre... pizza at Mario's, and coffee...oooooh the glorious coffee, we'll miss you most of all.

But we're also very excited for this next stage in our lives.

We're very excited to be going over to London to write our album and play lots of gigs in venues we haven't set foot in before. Excited to hang out with our record label Back Yard and excited to eat lots of late night Indian food.

Ahm, we're also really looking forward to re-capping on our favourite BBC period dramas. And maybe even visiting locations where some were filmed!... (right guys?)

SO look out for our goodbye shows by checking our myspace. We're quickly trying to organise little get-togethers in a couple of Australian cities, so we hope to see you there with open arms, ready for teary, snotty hugs.

Dear Diary,

Our first UK single off the EP is Very Vampyr and it's out on May 12 in selected stores (ie the good ones.) It's pressed on luscious black wax and the B-side is the heavenly remix of Robocat by the Knife Machine boys so check it out, hammer time.

Oh! and the first 200 copies are signed by us, so you can clutch your 7" through the night and pretend we're so close. Innit. Stockist below.

While we've been over in the UK, we stopped in for a spot at The Hub for BBC Music 6 with George Lamb (what a fun guy!). If you've never heard us live, here is your chance: http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/events/hub/
Very Vampyr and End It Tonight, stripped back for something a little special.

Love,
teenagersintokyo
