Thought we'd give each of our residents there just deserts as we don't usually have enough room on the flyers to really give them their props. The punters at New Bohemia are treated to not only some of the biggest names in music but are also spoilt by the sheer quality of our residents. Here's a bit of info on each one just in case your interested. Pz.

Gkut

Gkut is hiphop personified. He' one of the greatest scratch DJ's in the country and has been in battle teams and showcases alongide woody, mr thing, peter parker etc etc. He's the head of the International Turntable Federation (ITF) as well as being a resident at Fatcity/Grandcentrals clubnight Friends&Family.

Mike-L

Five Times DMC Finalist Mike should have won the title on a couple of occassions in many peoples eyes. Makes incredible beats on his MPC for Firstword Records and was one of the core residents of long term leeds hiphop night Drum Major.

Andy H

Head of Firstword Records alongside Gilla, Andy H is another scratch monkey who also resides and runs the mammoth Tuesday Club in Sheffield. Part Hiphop styles all round from this guy.

Noah

New Bohemia boss man noah started his musical journey at the age of 18, djing for and promoting SUBTUB in manchester, a night which produced Ninja Tune act RSL as well as Broke'n'£nglish. Having dj'ed all over the world he now spends much of his time bringing some of his favourite acts to the stage in this fine city. He also plays rekids at the hifi's sunday joint every fortnight.

Gilla

Gilla used to manage Funky Mule, a night origionally set up by EASE from N.O.W. He now commits much of his time to the running of our favourite record label Firstword. This guy spends a whole lot of time supporting artists that need pushing, hats off to him.

Kidkanevil

Just about to release his debut album which features the talents of Lateef the TruthSpeaker, Jehst, Yarah Bravo(oneself), Double D Dagger, Andreya Triana and our own Testament, Kid K's beats are on a dilla/timbaland vibe. He's also got a big ol' rekid collection.
