DON'T PART WITH YOUR ILLUSIONS. WHEN THEY ARE GONE YOU MAY STILL EXIST, BUT YOU HAVE CEASED TO LIVE. MARK TWAIN
After so many years of, what seems to be, constant defeat intermixed with successes, you might start to give up hope on any type of beliefs or dreams. You see these people everyday walking down the street, at work, the store, etc... Dead in the eyes. Given up to the finality of their lives. It is what it is. Life is what you make it. Give up, and it gives up on you. You just are the walking dead. You just havn't been buried yet. Serious re-evaluation is required, and possibly setting new priorities at the expense of your comfort. It is always worth it to sacrifice to grow.

"IMAGINATION IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN KNOWLEDGE" Albert Einstien
I am always reminding the kids that knowledge is power, and to attain anything in life, you need to learn. It is also something no one can ever take away from you. (I also push integrity as another thing no one can take away, and in the end it is all you have.) But reading this quote, I was in agreement inso far as you have to imagine yourself going somewhere else, and believing you actually can do it. It got me way past what was predicted for me. Your only as good as you think you are or can be. If you cannot imagine yourself a lawyer, doctor, computer geek, or shopkeep, how will you ever attain it? So, while imagination gets you started, you must also aquire knowledge to open the doors.

I have been a fan of many things through the years and the one thing I have FINALLY noticed is how backwards our society is when dealing with the rich and famous. I mean BACKWARDS. At any awards ceremony, we shower them with gift baskets, jewelry, samples, wines, etc.... When they go out to eat, and are noticed, people offer them free meals. Does anyone other than me see the absurdity of this? These people have enough money to buy their own stuff many times over yet we feel compelled to throw our hard earned stuff at them for free just because they are who they are! They must think we are a bunch of suckers or something. Well, not all, but really think about it. How much sense does this make? Starving, homeless children and adults would KILL for free stuff and meals, yet we give it to people who already have excess of pretty much everything, and have not had a hungry, homeless day for a very long time, if ever. So, what the hell are we thinking? If you you don't laugh at the irony, you will cry. So laugh and do something about it, or close your eyes to the people who don't find this funny at all. Anyone have any suggestions?

"STRIVE NOT TO BE A SUCCESS, BUT RATHER BE OF VA LUE" ALBERT EINSTIEN
How much of your time is spent accumulating wealth, aquiring assests, networking for contacts, gaining higher positions at work, etc......... Have you gotten so sucked into the spiraling drain, with the illusion of making your life better, that you have lost sight of what is really important? Family has become a lost art. Kids lost on the streets, even in wealthy neighborhoods where kids aren't homeless they are lost, Do we actually think we are going to live forever? I hate to break it to you guys, but this is all we have. We cannot possibly think all we have aquired will follow us, all our accomplishments, etc... Remeber that we only have a short time here. Value what is important, FAMILY. In any form it has taken with you, value it and nurture it and you will be richly rewarded, maybe not monotarily, but with far greater rewards than you think possible. Help others, give not take, make family first so they don't become another victim of our selfishness, and wreck another generation of street thugs, drug addicts and alcoholics, etc..... Stop the cycle of selfishness and become a person who is highly valued for what really matters. Now, THAT will follow you past death. Earn some "Brownie Points" that make a difference now and the future. Peace, T

HATE THE SIN, NOT THE
SINNER. Mahatma Gandi
We are all in such a hurry, so stressed out, etc... that we are very quick to jump to judgement based on what we see or hear. Condemnation is very easy, understanding much harder. Take the time, listen. T

"It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity".Albert Einstien. again.
We are more connected to the world than ever before, yet we are more "alone" than ever. Becoming more unable to find warm, loving, healthy, relationships. Are we better off with all these leaps of technology, or has it made us colder and lonier? While technology has made it possible to save and improve more lives, and enabled many places to become less isolated to the rest of the world, it seems to have had the opposite effect than first thought. Bringing humans closer together, no one is ever alone again, ....etc... Yet, here we are huddled in our rooms, alone, im’ing, texting, and posting without any human contact at all for hours on end. Soon, some people find it difficult to be social like we used to. Strange how it all backfired on us, huh? Just something to think about. T

"The world is a dangerous place, not becuase of the people who are evil, but because of the people who look on and do nothing." Albert Einstein
Stop complaining about all the problems and sacrifice some time to build solutions. Too busy? Not enough time? Then you, now, have become part of the problem.
