This has been a very hard day for us. We woke up this morning to find that our car had been broken into and all of the electronics/valuables had been stolen.
We have an absolutely amazing family, what makes it really hard is that a lot of the electronics we had in our car were lent to us by family members to help us on the road. Our parents let us borrow our family's camcorder. GONE. Our dad lent us his GPS. GONE. Our little brother and sister loaned us all of their DVD's. GONE. They stole Arlen's wallet, credit cards, they even stole his tape recorder that had all of his newly recorded songs on it as well as many more personal items that were lent to us as well as our own.
Though of course we hate that our things have been stolen, we are still very blessed. They are material objects. We have had an amazing time on the road and we have met amazing people and seen amazing things. All three of us are healthy and none of us have been hurt, this tour is one for the storybooks! And we still have more to go!!
Again, we are very grateful for all of the blessings we have received and the amazing people we have met on the road. Thank you to everyone for all of your thoughts and prayers.
We are looking forward to seeing you at our next stop!!
Lots of love, Jessica, Arlen & Jillian

9/11
Today is September 11th. It has been eight years since the towers
fell, but still in the faces of those who lost the ones they love, you
can see remnants of the destruction as if only moments before
the planes hit and took them to the ground. Through the dark we
stood strong, proud Americans behind a broken city, offering our
prayers, our hands and our hearts, then and still even now.
That night so long ago, the city bent its head and cried, mourning
those who wouldn’t walk out of the rubble. Our nation was shaken and
those that hurt us thought we had been brought to our knees. They may
have taken the towers down but we would never fall.
We are a nation under God. We are Americans. That day we understood what
those words meant. Americans can be bent, hurt, even hated, but we can
never be crushed because of our faith. That faith gives us the
strength, the power and the love to pick ourselves up, to work together
to make this great nation stronger then it was before and fight through
the darkest of times when despair threatened or threatens to overwhelm
us.
Today we look back and we may shed tears, but we must not forget the
strength of every American. We must remember we were not broken, but
merely bent.

So last night was our final show in Albuquerque, it was very cool!! We played at Winning Coffee Co.(or as all the locals call it "Winning's"). We had some old friends, some friends who came to see us from El Paso, new friends, and all in all it was a great night!! We wanted to send a special "thank you" to Tim, DD, Joseph and Laina for coming out!! You guys are the BEST!!!
Right now we're getting ready for our show here in Santa Fe, Arlen is taking a LONG time to get ready for the ladies! Ha ha! Or at least we girls think so!
We also have a mascot with us on our tour. Our little sister gave us her stuffed animal as our "travel buddy" so he's tagging along with us! We'll be posting pictures of ALL of us soon! Ha ha!

We are officially on tour!! We are really excited to be playing in Albuquerque NM, Santa Fe, Lubbock TX, Amarillo, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio!
Last night was our first show in Albuquerque, we were supposed to play at the Blackbird Buvette. We set up our equipment and were ready to play but then there were some complications that canceled the show. We were very disappointed, but in the end there were a group of great guys who offered us to play at "Tim's" house. We had a blast!!! What started out as a really bad evening turned out to be a great one!! They were awesome and it was a night we'll never forget!! Thank you to Tim and everyone else who joined in the party with us! Hopefully there will be many more stories like this one for us to share with you as we're on the road!!
See you soon! Arlen, Jessica & Jillian
