Midas Films At the launch of the film Patti Smith:
Dream of Life with an event that seeks to honor the godmother of punk.
Known also as "poet of punk," she brought a feminist and
intellectual side to punk music and became one of the most influential women of rock
and roll, just with her debut album of "Horses" in 1975. For over 30
years of a troubled career, released over 10 albums, wrote books
poetry, gave lectures at universities and was curator of the Meltdown Festival in
London. She had only two performances in Portugal, one of them for mythical
processed one, which would be devoted only to reading the poems, a
mini-concert in tribute to the Beatles (due to death the same day George
Harrison).
